English is used in Korea as much as it is no exaggeration to say that it is the second language. Under this circumstances, Korea has taught English from elementary school to university. Besides, there are a lot of English private schools except schools and they teach English from grammar to conversation. English education is needed because it is needed for going to good school and getting good jobs in Korea. The strong point of learning English for a long time is that we can take more knowledge due to much facing English. We can also study plentiful vocaburary and learn hard grammar. Through more reading comprehension, we can improve the skill of reading comprehension and composition. Besides, we can improve conversation as well. However, there are also weak points in this education. The English education of Korea is too focused on grammar, reading comprehension and the cases of conversation or listening are lack in the educational time. So, those who took this education are actually very poor at talking with foreigners. Actually, the fact that there are those who hardly talk with foreigners in English even they took a perfect score in TOEIC has been introduced by mass media. Accordingly, I think that reducing the learning time of only grammar and reading in English class in the school. They had better have more classes of listening and speaking.
