The ways to learn English
Each person may have some ways to learn English. The following is what I have learned by myself. First, When you find a vocabulary word which you don’t know, I think you shouldn’t look up the word in the dictionary immediately. Before doing that, you have to think about the meaning from the context in which it appears. Secondly, Listen to pop songs. You may sing the lyrics after a pop singer repeatedly. Third, watch sit-coms like ‘Friends’ regularly. You can learn a lot of practical English from the actor’s lines. Finally, read funny books written in English. Generally speaking, I think that It’s important to study English enjoyably.

I agree your opinion. I can’t excel in memory work. So I don’t have rich vocabulary. I always look up in a dictionary, but I forget immediately. I think your process is the best way to learn vocabulary and words.
I agree with you, too. However, when I read or hear a word that I don’t know, I look up the word in the dictionary immediately and involuntarily.
Prof. Gord also said that searching a word you don’t know immediately is not good in last other conversation class.
That’s right. Thinking about the meaning from the context in which it appears and understanding are more important and it gives help to ours.
So, I will try not to do from now and later.
I usually listen to pop song, and watch movies for learning English more funny. Especially I often get useful words and idioms from the movies. I recommend watching movies for you English.
