Gord’s Writing Class

I have taken three Gord’s writing classes until last year because I like his class so much for several reasons.

First of all, while I’m listening to his lecture, I feel I am a real college student and he is a real professor who knows what he is teaching. For instance, he explained what is a plagiarism, how bad that is, how important quotation is, and how to quote something. Of course, I knew how terrible pragiarism, but I didn’t know how to quote. I think it is really important for college students to know that.

Second, his teachin style makes students thinkable. For example, he lets us do many activities in the class. Sometimes it is so weird to do, but it also makes students pay attention to his class. After that activity, we can figure out why he let us do that. I’ve never seen a teaching style like that which is so creative and make students  thinkable people. 

In addition, he has a passion about teaching. To illustrate, he gives us many assignments, revises all of them by him self, and gives back to us. If there are many assignments, a professeor must be busy and tired as much as his students. He always emphsizes quality, and he also tells us the quantity is not so improtant. In this reason, even if a student submits a very long essay, he was so generous.

Finally, his class is so interesting. For instance, his jokes and funny gestures could be the reasons. However, I ‘d like to say many subjects of his assignments are so interesting such as pamplets and explanation to Alien. Specially in this semester, I really enjoy this class. Even if it is sometimes too hard, but I can learn many things. After I made a team project of pamplets, I started to think about working in a travel agency.
