Rain

What makes it rain? I read the book about that and if I summarize it “Rain falls from clouds for the same reason anything falls to Earth. The Earth’s gravity pulls it. But every cloud is made of water droplets or ice crystals. The droplets or ie crystals in clouds are exceedingly small. The effet of gravity on them is minute. Air currents move and lift droplets so that the net donward displacement is zero, even though the droplets are in constant motion. ” I learned about it science magazine, but for me it is hard to understand. I want to have good scinec knowledge.
