“I don’t love man, I love a person who is a man” This is famous sentence related to homosexuality. Recent, Korean drama start to include homosexual things. Still, there are a lot of people who hate the homosexual codes in drama for several reasons. However, this is hot issue and people think that this is worth enough to argue. This situation already can be one of the evidence that people ready to talk about homosexual to a positive way. Korean government has to legalize homosexual couple marriage because of diversity, the right to pursue people’s happiness and it doesn’t make society dizzy.

First of all, some people said heterosexual is normal thing originally people love opposite sex. However, according to Foucault, knowledge and ‘truth’ are produced through discourses. There are no pre-existent ‘truths’ that representations simply reflect. ‘Seen to be believed’ which is written by Richard Dyer wrote this “’Homosexual’ and ‘lesbian’ have been negative sexual categories, at best to be viewed pathologically, at worst as moral degeneracy.” People tend to think that homosexuality is sickness or sin. They believe that heterosexual is right thing, but what is the truthful and normative? Can we believe normative ways are really normative truth? When something becomes ‘common sense’, it also becomes naturalized. After naturalizing, people don’t think about whether it is truth. They just accept is as a truth and don’t want to challenge it. However, what you believe is not truth. It is just your belief.

In addition, homosexual couple marriage is right to pursue their happiness. Everybody have right to meet and marry person whom he or she love. Nobody disturbs it even though this is not major. This is their choice. This is their freedom. The freedom doesn’t hurt people. Therefore, people also cannot hurt them. Homosexual people also one of the members whom society have to protect them from other force which can hurt them. Not to bother them is not society’s duty. To protect them is society’s duty.

Furthermore, homosexual cannot throw the society into chaos. When it comes to homosexual thing, people might say that it has bad influence to the young generation. However, this point of view is already quite distorted. People follow their inborn tendency. Even though young child see homosexual couple who live next door, it cannot influence to the child. The child just keeps his or her natural tendency. The homosexual couple lives their life and the child also lives his or her life.

Homosexual is not sickness and it is not a sin. This is only their tendency. There is no pre-existent truth in the world. Korean government should accept diversity of people’s tendency and protect their right to pursue happiness through legalization of the homosexual couple marriage.

What are the things that come into your mind when we say “Christmas”? Of course it’s the occasion where even the most cold-hearted person shows generosity and warmth. Aside from generosity and warmth, there is a thing that we should put on one of our hot topics which we can see all around the city, those twinkling, little, electric lights, in short as “light bulb”. When it’s December, we can see trees along the streets covered from head to toe by light bulbs. Some says it’s beautiful but there are hidden facts we want to ignore. People have to remove the light bulbs which wrapped by bulbs because it can be stress people’s eyes, it torments trees and it is a waste of electricity.
To begin with, all of you know about our eyes, and how they get stress. The causes of the eye stress can be some activities that cause you to focus your eyes for long periods of time, and the lights around us. In spite of too much stress caused by sign boards, radiant lights from TVs and computers already, when Christmas season comes people cover the trees with a lot of lights which isn’t beautiful anymore for it adds more stress to the eyes. Also, because of the lights bulbs, drivers sometimes cannot see important traffic sign. We call it light pollution.
In addition, we should discuss about putting light bulbs is that trees are also suffering. Nobody said that Christmas is an occasion that other life forms too should be treated as well like humans but it’s just too selfish for human beings to afflict trees for a moment of romance or art. It is painful for trees to be wrapped around by electric wire and feel the heat of the light bulb. We should be considerate to trees especially on such occasions.
Moreover, economically it is a waste of electricity. Based on what I have said before, it ends up as a waste of electricity. Over a month, around thousands of lights bulbs are lit every night. Unfortunately, it is useless. Actually, people don’t need the lights. Korea is oil-poor. We don’t have oil enough to light the thousands of bulbs around the trees which are arranged along the path.
After few weeks, we will face beautiful and cheerful Christmas. We can enjoy Christmas without light bulbs. If people remove the thousands of light bulbs around the hundreds of trees, people can enjoy more peaceful Christmas. Christmas season is beautiful because it filled with people’s laughing sounds, the bell sounds of the Salvation army not because of the lights bulbs.

Few years ago, government made a law related to school food. They said that cafeteria should not sell carbonated drink, soda. It looks like that Korean government really worried about Korean students. However, they missed huge thing or they just ignore it. Korean students’ obesity is not because of carbonated drink. Actually, Korean students don’t have time to exercise. Especially, middle school and high school students only have 2 hours for gym class a week. Even, gym class is optional class, it is not essential class to high school second and third grade. According to Seoul metropolitan office of education, 14.1% of the students never exercise during a week. For them, walking and claiming stairs is exercise activity. Also, 23% of the Korean students answered that they don’t have gym class even once during a year. This situation brings a lot of problems and school should teach students gym and expand time to exercise. This is because exercising helps people to keep their health, it can be their hobby and exercising is important especially to the adolescents

First of all, they don’t know how to enjoy exercise and they don’t have chance to enjoy exercise. Exercise is really important to their life because exercising brings us nice feeling and healthy life. If school doesn’t teach them gym, it means that school just takes their healthy life. Also, exercise takes people’s stress. People can release their stress and violence when they exercise. This is very useful and effective way to remove stress. Therefore, enjoying exercise is really essential thing to students.

Also, variety of exercise can be students’ hobby in their future. Unfortunately, they miss it a lot. According to the research, students are asked this question “Why don’t you exercise?” 45% of the students answered that we don’t have time to exercise and 21% of the students said that I don’t like gym and exercise. What do you think about this answer? These answers can be understood two ways. First, they don’t like gym, the other is they don’t know how to exercise. The latter is right. Exercise like swimming, running or jumping rope can be a good hobby, even though it is simple thing. However, nobody teaches them how to exercise. School don’t have right to take their hobby.

In addition, Adolescent period like 16,17,18-years-old is really important time because they have experienced a lot of change physically. If they don’t have chance to exercise, their body cannot develop perfectly. Especially, during 3 years their lung grows up very much and become perfect.

I cannot forget one sentence. One student wrote this sentence in internet. “Before the summer vacation, I always go to the food restaurant for lunch in school but after the vacation, school serves the lunch from the restaurant to our class so I don’t have to move even lunch time.” The school and the Ministry of Education let students move and exercise. This is their duty for Korean future.

“Fragmentary knowledge is not related to liberal. The people only have knowledge is the most useless in the world.” Alfred North Whithead said this in his book ‘The aims of education.’ Today, university students tend not to consider philosophy subject. They only focus on practical learning. I can make sure this situation brings about disaster in our future. Liberal subject is necessary. It is not optional thing. We have to study. This is because liberal subject stir people to think creatively, when liberal subject and practical subject combined, students can be real talented people and study liberal subject is not only students’ duty but also their right.

First of all, liberal art is driving force of human’s development. Spider can make strong and elaborate net which cannot be broken down by wind. When it comes to sunflower, we can see how the seeds are arranged mathematically. However, human don’t have any skill. Even though human’s poor skill, human build great civilization. What makes people to construct a great civilization? That is because of liberal art. Human is also kind of animal. Human also have animal needs like sexual desire and appetite. However, human can be distinguished because of liberal art.

In addition, when people study liberal art and practical study both, the people can be real talented people who can contribute to developing this society. Liberal art is based on practical study. If people cannot understand liberal art enough, they also cannot know practical study well. This is the study’s dualism. Liberal art and practical study never be divided. These two studies have to be harmonized. When people focus on only practical study, people become un-intellect experts. When people focus on liberal art also, people become creative people who are essential in the world.

Moreover, today, a lot of university students try to get a nice job. They study English to get a high score on TOEIC, try to attain many licenses, go abroad volunteer without deep thinking. Students try to do their best in order to be a people whom big company need, whom big company needs. They don’t try to be what they want to be. Finally, they confused between what they want to be and what company want them to be. In this situation, after they get a good job. This is because they cannot find their way and standardized make them stressful without thinking about themselves. When people have their conviction and philosophy about their work, they can satisfy and achieve their goal. Imagine that there are two people one is only study to get a nice job without her or his thinking. Another has her or his own belief and conviction of her or his work. If you were a CEO, who do you want to hire? Of course, company also wants to hire creative and thoughtful people.

Aristotle said this “The happiest life is seeking the truth life.” I hope that university students also live the happiest life.

Few years ago, MBC asked people who are from 10 years old to 60 years old “What do you regret most?” 10’s people answered “I regret that I didn’t study hard.” 20’s people answered “I regret that I didn’t study hard past.” 30’s people also answered “I regret that I didn’t study hard when I was young.” 40’s people answered that “I regret that I didn’t study hard.” 50’s people answered that “I regret that I didn’t study hard.” Now, can you guess the answer of 60’s people? 60’s people answered that “I regret that I didn’t make my children study hard.” Study is important part of Korean life. Many Korean think that human resource is our future. Therefore, competition between students is also high in terms of their grade. According to National Statistical Office, one student spends 240000 won for their study in 2010. Korea has huge private education market. Korean government tries to force the private education market not to grow up anymore. Unfortunately, their efforts are not working because people think that private education disturbs students and it brings a lot of problem in this society. However, this is their mistake. Korean government should encourage private education because it has good education system, it can take care of children after school and the price of private education will be low.

To begin with, actually Korean private education system is good. ‘Hakwon’ teach the students effectively. Especially, in terms of English, it is not enough to learn only from school. Students also can have more chance to repeat their study. ‘Hokwon’ system makes the students study hard and get a good grade. ‘Hakwon’ program is very efficiently, many students can be evidence of this argument. Repeating is a big trait of ‘Hakwon’ system. ‘Hakwon’ teach students until they know exactly.

In addition, ‘Hakwon’ can be a place to take care of students or protect them from other dangerous system. Most of the parents have job and they cannot take care of their children. In this situation, students can break the rule easily. For example, they can smoke or drink alcohol after school. Also, they might not consider their study because parents who have a job cannot control them. However, students who have to go ‘Hakwon’ after school, they cannot break the rule easily and they have to focus on their study. ‘Hakwon’ can less students’ breakaway.

Moreover, if government encourages private education, the price will be low. Many students cannot receive private education even though they want to study more because of the price. If government let ‘Hakwons’ competitive each other, they will less the education fee. Students can choose ‘Hakwon’ among the various ‘Hakwon.’ It can guarantee students’ right to select what they want. Also, the ‘Hakwon’ will try to develop their program be better. The good system of ‘Hacwon’ helps students study hard and effectively.

‘Hacwon’ should be spread in Korea and students who are underprivileged also can get good education. Government has to help the students not to regret in their future about their study.

“Eat a lot of delicious thing and play a lot during the vacation” was written on the one newspaper in 1937, December, 25th before winter vacation. ‘Green Mountain calls us, green forest calls us. Let’s go to the mountain to pick up the mountain strawberry. Let’s go to the forest with net to catch cicada’ this is song which name is summer vacation. We can know that what the purpose of vacation through the two script. The purpose of the vacation is to take a rest. However, vacation is not a time to take a rest to some students. Students have to have time to take a rest during vacation. This is duty to the students because the study efficient cannot reach like usual in summer, winter season, students can learn a lot of thing and vacation is only period to gather family.

First of all, vacation season is always summer and winter. We have to think that why vacation is held in summer and winter. This is because in summer and winter, we have to take a break. Everybody has that experience that we cannot concentrate on our study because of the weather. During the vacation, studying efficient is decreased automatically. Here are some examplesfor supporting this. In Korea era, the students who study in private school always go to the fresh mountain to make poem and talk with friends every summer. People called it ‘Ha-Gwa.’ In chosun era, ‘Seo-dang’ which is school to teach students let students to read or create poem instead of memorize quotation in summer.

In addition, vacation is time to learn a lot of things. During the vacation, students can have chance to experience the world. If they use the time well, they can know how to enjoy their life. For example, when the students go to historic site, they can understand the history related to the site easily. If students go to the tidal flat and watch a lot of lives which live in there, they realize that why do they have to protect environment. Unfortunately, 71.3% of the elementary school students said that their summer vacation plan is studying. 92% of the elementary school students feel that “Sometimes, they like vacation.” There are a lot of things that students have to learn and there are also a lot of thing that students cannot learn from school in the world. To let them experience these things also adults’ duty.

Lastly, vacation is only time to gather family. Nowadays, people are busy everyday. Even it is not easy to eat meal together once a day. They also cannot talk to each other. 24% of the students said that “I want to travel with my family in the vacation.” However, there are only 18% of the family who has elementary school students have plans to go travel.

To take a rest in vacation is one of the education processes. This is students and their parents’ duty. They have to play and enjoy the time. According to ‘Korea Education Study Center,’ vacation is time for reading a book, exercising and travel. Even though they live in high competition society, they have to have time to rest. Students can be a better person when they can enjoy their rest time.

The government and ‘Hannara’ party want to establish profit hospital in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Song-do international city. This is not a first time. In 2008, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province’s governor tried to propel establishing profit hospital. He said that it make many jobs for province citizen and has huge economic effect in Jeju. He promoted this plan. They take a public-opinion poll to Jeju citizen. The result was that 38.2% agree with his plan, but 39.9% disagree with that plan. However, in 2009, he changed the name from profit hospital to opened invest hospital and started to propel it again. I totally disagree with the establishing profit hospital because medical is not object that can deal, it is the beginning of the privatization of health care and it brings polarization of health care.

First of all, medical treatment cannot be traded each other. Patrick Pelloux who is medical treatment revolution crusader said that “Medical treatment is not the object that can be sold and bought. Therefore, the women cannot stay there until they recover. In Europe, when women give baby birth, they don’t pay anything. Even though they have to pay 40% of the salary, they think that it is worth. In Korea, women who give baby birth have to pay 360000 won which is already decreased by benefit of medical insurance. Korea medical insurance is mixed by market medical system and public medical system. Many people satisfy this Korea medical insurance.

Also, profit hospital brings polarization of health care. Rich people want to go fancy hospital which is profit hospital because they can afford to pay the huge money. The rich enrolls the private insurance. This phenomenon destroys present medical insurance system. Medical treatment has to be always fair. This is everyone’s right.

There is no country that has nice and efficient treatment insurance system like Korea. Korea’s medical skill is already high and the equipment is better than other countries have. Therefore, people get high medical service without any profit hospital. Competition is not the only one right answer.

Recently, people start to ask government to increase minimum wage. However, many company owners said that ‘If se increase workers’ wage, we have to fire some workers.” In addition, Korea government doesn’t check that owners give their workers minimum wage. In this situation, many people who work as a security guard or kindergarten teacher cannot receive their money fairly.

The general argument made by Margaret Thatcher in 1797, when she became prime minister in UK, is that the minimum wage system is useless for developing economic. More specifically, Margaret Thatcher argues that the minimum wage system weakens national competitiveness and this system has a bad influence to increase the unemployment rate. She said that, “Government should not intervene market for increasing economic.” In this passage, Margaret Thatcher is suggesting that UK have to abolish the minimum wage system. In conclusion, Margaret Thatcher’s belief is that when UK abolishes the minimum wage system, UK can get better national competitiveness.

But according to David Cameron’s view, Margaret Thatcher must be wrong, because the system is not related to unemployment rate. More specifically, David Cameron seems to believe that there is no relationship with hiring and firing. For example, David Cameron said that, “The minimum wage system is more successful system than people expect. The system is a factor that brings unemployment,” in 2010 at BBC. David Cameron seems to disagree with Margaret Thatcher on the issue of this system. Margaret Thatcher thinks that this system is useless, while David Cameron maintain that this system is successful policy. Therefore, David Cameron concludes that he try to develop and keep this system.

In fact, I strongly agree with David Cameron’s claim that the minimum wage system is useful for the country. I think that Korea also have to develop this system. David Cameron’s claim that, “This system is not related to unemployment rate also it is successful policy,” is correct. This is because after UK started again this system in 1997, the unemployment decreased. In 1998, the unemployment rate is 7.5%, but in 2003, the rate is 4.3%. In addition, it is worth considering make minimum wage committee. For example, UK made independence non-government minimum committee and the committee suggests the minimum wage every year. Therefore, I must conclude that Korea also have to have friendly attitude about minimum wage for workers.

Korea really needs to increase the minimum wage. 2011, the minimum wage is 4320won per hour. However, this is not enough to live stably. If workers work at company 8 hours a day, after 1 month, they can only get 691200 won. As time goes by, price is increasing fast. People need to earn more money to keep their life. Government and company have to feel responsibility about employs’ life. Also, they should try to make better result for workers.

In 1995, Karen lived as a vegetable and her parents asked the doctor disconnecting the respirator form her. Parents decided that death can release her from the suffering. Next year, ‘Justice of the Supreme Court’ said that “We don’t have evidences that Karen have to keep her life like vegetable.” On the other hand, some eugenicist said under the Nazi that “People who have incurable illness or who is a physically challenged person should be killed because they don’t have any worth to live life.” Still, mercy killing is hot potatoes in this society. However, people should not accept mercy killing even passive euthanasia because medical science keep developing even right now, nobody knows that people who don’t have consciousness want to die and the patient might be able to choose to die because of high hospital bills.

To begin with, nobody can judge steps of impossible recovering. Medical science keeps developing even right now. Even though doctor judge that the patient cannot recover today, drugs or treatment may be developed tomorrow. Nobody can have conviction of their judge at that time.

In addition, people cannot know that patient who does not have conscious want to die. Even though the patient filled out the agreement paper before he or she lost heir conscious, in front of the death, they might want to choose that keep their life. Taking a breath is the basic instinct thing. People cannot control taking a breath with rational. If a man who wants to suicide falling in the river, but suddenly he shout in the water ‘help! Help!’ do we have to save him? Of course, the safe guard goes to the river to save him. If a man who wants to suicide so falls in the water and just stays in water without any asking, do we have to save him? Of course, the safe guard has to go there to save him. Lastly, if one man who wants to suicide falling in the river and ask the safe guard “Please, let me die, don’t save me,” what is the next reaction of the safe guard? Of course, the safe guard has to save him. However, why people just try to find excuse to give up the patient life?

Also, people have to understand the patients’ suppress because of the hospital’s bills. If the patients have chance to choose about their death, they must be forced by other condition around them. Under the suppress situation, they cannot select what they really want to do about their life, even though they want to hold their life. Patients feel uncomfortable that their family is suffering because of themselves. This fact forces them to sign the euthanasia agreement paper.

Many people said that death is the end of the life. Yes, of course. However, at the same time death is also one of the processes of the life. We have to treat the death carefully. People must not find more excuses to give up their life.

“If you cannot afford to nurture your baby because you are single mother or you have disability baby, please don’t abandon and just put here your baby.” In 2009, Lee, Sung-lock who is minister of one church in ‘Gwanak-Gu’ in Seoul made the baby box with the sentence. The minister made tool in the baby box to know when the baby is put in the box by their parents. When he found the abandoned baby who almost dies because of hypothermia in front of his church, he decided to make baby box. However, whatever his intention, he should remove the baby box because it encourage deviation, Korea already have programs for abandoned baby, the church is not an authorized facilities and the babies cannot know about their birth information.
First of all, he aggravates evils. Until now, 26 babies were abandoned in the box. If he didn’t make the box, the babies might not be abandoned their parents. He must not give parents chance to abandon baby. The baby box can less the parents’ guilty. They can abandon their baby without big agony. Also, the baby box can make light of baby’s life. This situation make adolescents have less responsibility of babies and it can lead adolescents to disorderly life.
In addition, the program for parents who cannot afford their baby is already made. If the parents cannot nurture baby, they can ask help ‘Ministry of Health and Welfare.’ Government is running system ‘129 call center’ and the parents can tell the experts about their problems. Parents don’t need to use baby box. Therefore, baby box cannot be replaced existing system with baby box.
Thus, the babies who were put in the baby box never can know their birth information. When the babies grow up and want to find their real parent, they don’t have any ways to find their parents. If the parents use the government program, the baby can have their information about who I am. The baby box disturbs to meet their physical parents.
Finally, this is the biggest problem that the church is non licet. Government cannot check their situation freely. It can bring another problem. People cannot notice what is happening in there. Even though the minister. Lee don’t have any bad intention, someone may make baby box for his or her bad purposes pretending to be kind and honest.
This is the slippery slope, minister. Lee have to remove the baby box soon and the government have to expand the facilities for single mom and abandoned babies. Babies are already perfect human. Parents don’t have right to abandon or throw away them. Even though they cannot raise their baby, they have to find the way to solve their problem. At least, they have to leave their baby in institution with trust not the baby box in front of the illegal place.
