A hot dog in New York and in Korea
Last Thursday, my partner and I went to eat a New York chilli hot dog near the University. The ingredients of the hot dog were a sausage, a bun, some chilli sauce, and stuff using grilled ground beef and crushed beans. It tasted savory, especially the stuff, increased of appetite, looked like a slim hamberger, and felt so soft. It could be a substitution for a meal, because it was a square-sized food. So, its price was not much cheap comparing with a hot dog in Korea. On the contrary, a Korean hot dog is different from a New York hot dog. It is a frankfurter, or hot dog, on a wooden stick. It is covered with cornmeal and then cooked in hot oil. A hot dog is one of the most popular snacks in korea, and many children like them to eat. It is also easily available to buy on the street. Although it’s only a quick snack, a hot dog is very calorific and sometimes it makes people feel seek because it is kind of greasy food.
