Yesterday, I’ve been to nursing home, which is located in Sinnae for old people.

     The reason why I had to visit there was because of a  spirituality class. Every student taking the class has to go to nursing home and do volunteer work once in a semester. The nursing home I supposed to visit is located in Bonghwasan which is the end of station in subway line six. It took two and half hours to get there, since my house is Kimpo.  I was supposed to be there at 9 o’clock, but I arrived there at 10:30, so I felt so sorry.  I was too late to request my attendence, so I begged for the officer there to check my attendence and fortunatelly they list my name on an attendence paper.

     An officer took me a kitchen, Actually I expected to help old people, so I was little bit embarrased. As soon as I enter the kitchen, a woman commanded me to wear an apron and come by her. She gave me a knife and a lot of cucumber ( I think it was about 1000 of cucumbers). I had to cut the cucumbers in to qurters. I’ve never cut such numerous number of cucumbers.. It was so hard; the kitchen was as cold as outside, and my hands were getting frozen. Finally, I finished cutting those cucumbers in 4 hours.

     What I did there was totally  different what I’ve expected. However, it was special experience to me, because I decided to study very hard. Cutting all cucumber was much harder than studying. It was the only lesson from the vist.
