There are a lot of hobbies that you can have! Then, what is yours? Is that fits on you well?

I guess there are many factors that makes you decide to get it.

But in this time, I’m talking about the money this time which is one factor closely related with, and that should be condered well. My hobby is taking pictures. The sensitive part is doubtlessly the price of camera and lens. I started with medium compact camera called S5IS. (Canon) After finishing part time job, I used up all of my money for the camera. It wasn’t the professional camera until purchasing D200, which is the most expensive equip that I have now. D40x had passed by and so many lenses. The sum of these value is approximately two million won. If someone ask me to start taking pictures with these equipments from the beginning, I may think he’s crazy.

And also, I like playing piano (I’m not a good player though.) Because I’m not a professional, and it have been 13 years since I finished 2 years of my piano lesson.

 But there exists the word that understand all of these things; “Amateurs” who love that they’re doing.

The Street journalism is the other name of Web 2.0 media. Media have had being a pivotal role in protest against mad cow. We can see the power of the media through this issue. First of all, the media makes it possible for a host of people to take part in the protest voluntarily on basis of internet. The people discuss the problem and provide their information on the internet. By sharing the information, many people can access the reality of the protest and are drawn to the protest having their own will. Second, there are lots of reporters in media. Many people are making kind of media such as videos, and photos. They upload the scene of protest, and let people get the information with just one click of the mouse. A host of media are made, the effect of a number of media is also enormous. That is the reason why Web 2.0 media is known as the Street journalism. In conclusion, media makes people produce, share, and consume the information in Korea. Clay Shirky also says that fact. We need to recognize the power of the media.

Nowadays As a distrust of government continues to get stronger, the number of parody to satirize the president, lee mung bak and about a matter of cow diseases is increasing. Today I saw one of the parodies. It is made with a movie ‘The Bourne identity. I think it is edited very well. It shows matter of cow diseases including the candlelight against importing caw from America for 9 mins. So the clip get popularity in sort time.

As you know May 2ed, huge cyclone hit burma.

A lot of people died, and  many people got injury.

But Burma government do not accept UN’s help and other NGO’s helps becuase Burma dictator afraid

when foreigners come into Burma thier dictatorship break. Burma government don’t care about their nations she care about only themselves.

Korea already went through same dark poltical time when 1970~1980s. We should to help them.

Not only restore Burma from cylone but also her democracy movement.

In this situation, media can keep announcing to people who don’t know about how dangerous situation in Burma.

Yesterday, I watched the movie ‘Kill Bill’ made by Quentin Tarantino again, I like his movies because he knows well what the audience want in the movie and how to make movies interesting. One of features of his movies is that attractive, tough females are on the center of the story.

Another feature is to remix from the movies already existing. These days, studying about the book ‘Free Culture,’ we are thinking about the mean of remixing. So, his movies give us great opportunity to think about the worth of the remixing.

A remix is an alternative version of things such as songs and movies, different from the original version. Some can move us more deeply than the original version, but others can be worthless compared with the original version.

The movies made by Quentin Tarantino don’t simply imitate B-movies, but he goes further and makes attractive, new films by changing the stories of B-movies and creating a series of images that express his style.

Also, other artists such as a painter, a cartoonist and a composer make their works in this way. The good works affected by the stuffs that already existing make a different impression on us. And these give us enjoyment and at once inspire other artists.

Therefore, if the legal system tries to control strictly these things under the name of plagiarism, artists will have trouble to make new works. That is, whenever they make new works, they have to consider whether it is related to a legal problem or not, which can be an obstacle of making good stuffs. It means if the legal system tries to control strictly these things, it will be hard for people to meet the good works.         

Finally I read all Harry Potter book yesterday!!!

Last series was not so good enough but still I love Harry Potter series.

Interesing thing is do you guys find Harry Potter book cover picture becaming change since Harry Potter movies released?

It looks similar Harry Potter actor and illustrations are changed since same time.

And sometime when I read book, I imagine actors and actress’s acting and vocies.
This symptoms never happned before I saw Harry Potter movies.

You guys also have same symptoms with me?

These days I’m srcaping 2 kind of newspaers which have different view point every week beause assignment.

As you know Korea has really strong right wing newspapers which are Chosun, JoongAng, DongA and other side(left wing)are Hankyoreh, kyunghyang and Omynews.

They speak totally differently as samething.

When I was highschool I learned newspaper should tell us only truth.

Not their opinion and judgement.

But these newspares give their opinion and judgement including news to us.

I’m not telling article(사설).

In this situation how we can believe which is truth?
and how we can dicide our opinion about reality by ourselves?

Warning: The ax of this cigarette will be used for building ‘Cross-country Canal Project.’ Do you still want to smoke it?

I found this picture while surfing around the internet and I laughed when I saw this picture. I thought it was really creative because it shows issue of ‘Cross-country Canal Project’ not seriously and furiously and gives me an idea that issue of ‘Cross-country Canal Project’ is much related to my life. (Even though I don’t smoke, I can buy it and many friends of mine smoke.) I’ve disagreed with that project because of environmental and historical reason but I didn’t realize that the taxes I pay are the money that the government uses for this project. Even thought I was paying many taxes, I was indifferent to usage of that.

This little picture changed my mind and made me realized of what’s going on around me. It also gave me an idea that talking about issues doesn’t need to be serious all the time. I saw or participated in many social movements and gatherings and many times those were too serious or furious of each issue and because of that ordinary people feel uncomfortable with those movements and gatherings for being forced to be serious also, even though activists didn’t intend to.

I don’t agree that so all the movements and gatherings should be funny and cultural but I agree with the idea that we need more creativity in social movements. We have to be serious of what we are talking about but we can be creative in methodology.  

When you have date or meet your freind, do you find 맛집?

I do. If me and my friend will meet HongDae, I’m searching internet where is cheap and good place to eat.

But sometimes I regret my dicision. Cause internet gave me wrong information.

So I more beileve people who very familir where I want to go.

Through people I’m usually success my dicision.

But funny thing is, that internet informations are also some people uploard their blogs or cafe.

Basically, intehrnet informations and asking people are same I think.

But why internet has bunch of wrong informations????

All Koreans who waited all night to watch Ji Sung Park on May 22 were really disappointed because his name was not on the list of Champions League final. Since Ferguson mentioned about participation of Ji sung in the final, most of people who expected Ji Sung’ would be able to play during the final. Unfortunately, Ferguson decided not to put Ji sung’s name on the list, even Ji Sung didn’t have a seat on the bench to cheer his team.

Many Koreans include me complain about Ferguson’s behavior because he suggested on an interview that Ji Sung deserves participating in the final. Moreover, he contributed to his team for the final. That’s why many dailies expected Ji Sung as one of the starters, so local dailies were also surprised that Ji Sung couldn’t participate. 

On the other hand, I think that we are overacting. Ji Sung said that he is OK with team’s victory, but we speak for him and complain about his leader. He is rather working on another goal of his life than depressing. I believe that we should cheer him again instead of grumbling over Ferguson.  What will you choose?
