Your Exam Topics!
Hi guys!
I said I’d post your exam topics before midnight. I’m going to post them NOW!
I realized that giving you only one thesis for each topic is too narrow. So what will happen is, you will get a surprise TOPIC. For each topic, there are TWO theses, and of course you can choose the one you prefer. You chance for each topic paper is 50%. When you receive your topic paper, you can choose Thesis A or Thesis B according to your preference.
TOPIC 1: Success.
- Thesis A: Success is important to my happiness.
- Thesis B: Success is not important to my happiness.
TOPIC 2: Coffee.
- Thesis A: Coffee is bad for you.
- Thesis B: Coffee is good for you.
Remember, the surprise will be whether you get TOPIC 1 or TOPIC 2; I will give you one randomly. But when you have the topic, you are free to choose whichever thesis you like, Thesis A or Thesis B.
In other words, you don’t need to prepare for 4 different theses. Just choose one thesis for Coffee, and one thesis for Success, and prepare for those with free writing and thinking and a vocabulary list, and so on.

A reminder: this exam is on Thursday, April 20th. That’s next Thursday. Your essays and outlines, however, are due on Tuesday, April 18th! I’m looking forward to reading them! Have a good weekend, everyone!

I have a question.
“I will give you one randomly.” This means we can’t choose between two topics. right?
Right!
I will give you one topic, or the other, individually. You can’t choose the topic: it will be a surprise which one you get. Some people will get Coffee, and some people will get Success.
However, when you have the topic, you can choose one or the other thesis that I have mentioned. The thesis is your choice. But the topic will be given to you randomly, so you won’t be able to choose it.
