Can Anyone See This?
Everyone. I was looking at the list of names and number of posts you’ve written on the blog — I have instant access to that information — and the numbers are a little bit scary.
We started blogging in the 2nd full week of class, and you’ve been expected to write 3 posts a week every week except midterms. By my count, you should have 24 posts so far. Right now, except for one student who’s written a lot, and one student who’s taking two writing classes and is therefore posting not just here but on another blog, almost everyone is very far behind. Only one student has written the expected number of posts!
And there’s even a student who doesn’t have an account on the blog! That just doesn’t make sense, considering the number of times I’ve talked about it in class, and the fact that I mentioned, at the beginning of semester, that it would be important for your grade.
Several people have less than ten posts, and some people are still about 5 or 7 behind their expected minimum number of posts. Only ONE student has written more posts than is required. I want to remind you that grading for posts is not based on quality, but on effort. I also want to remind you that this effort is a large part of your grade. Please bear that in mind!
We only have a few more weeks for the blog to run, so please, make an effort either to catch up or keep up. Alright?
Thanks guys,
Gord
