At beginning of philosophy is nature philosopher of Ionia. The early days of philodophers were absorbed about nature. They were, so to speak, absorbed a creation of the universe and its movement, structure material. So, generally, they called nature philosopher. But there concern is not simple, like ‘nature’. Rather than, they aim the origin material of nature. With this they attempt to explain substance of existence. So we should understand there pursuit of nature by metaphysics.
The first runner of Ionia philosophy is Thales. So, Aristotles called Thales by father of philosophy. He also studied the origin. He claimed, the origin of world is water. Because, water has ‘motion change’ and ‘element of life’. And he also claimed hylozoism. hylozoism is a theory of nature circumstance, that think all substance oneself have a factor of dynamic force. Acording to this, he became a leader of Milesian school. And Anaximandros, Anaximenes succeed to Milesian school’s tradition.
After that Pytagoras, Herakleitos, Parmenides, Empedokles, Demokritos acceded to Ionia philosophy’s trend of thought.
