Rice is one of issues in Korea. As the rice is the staple food, farming rice is very important until now. Most of the lands were used to cultivate rice. A means of living was rice for farmers. As industry was developed, city was urbanized. People stared to go to the developed city. So the rural population was decreased. ,and it lead to a lack of work force. It made difficult to raise rice. What is worse, it was increased that importing other country’s rice. Importing rice occupied most of the rice market. Farmers don’t need to cultivate a lot of rice any more ,and rural economy is getting bad. Until now Korean prefer their rice, but importing rice will bring bad influences to Korean economy.
