When babies are become a 100th birthday, they are celebrated in Korea. I think it has different meaning with other birthdays. For a long time ago, newborn babies are easily died before they live 100th day. At that time they were not taken care well. For example, to take medical treatment were really hard, and the parents were not having enough time and information for their babies. If a baby did not die until 100th birthday, people think he /she may be able to live. On my conjecture, the 100th day was a line to determine that a baby can live or not. That’s why our ancestors were celebrate a baby’s 100th birthday. This is the origin of 100th birthday ceremony. Although babies are not easily died nowadays, it is a good culture in my country.
