A Quote
“No human being can really understand another, and no one can arrange another’s happiness.” -Graham Greene(1904-1991)
A week ago, I got a homework from practical English class. The homework is finding five quotes. And then above the sentence remains in my heart. Actully I can’t explain the quote exactly. I just feel the meaning, and I thought finally, human being is alone. Even though human has family, friend, and lover.

I love this quote, and it’s really true in any ways.

I agree, it’s a wonderful quote. I think it is sort of about the mystery of each individual human being — how we cannot reach into even the people we love to truly know them from the inside, and how we can never truly make others happy… they have to find and build their own happinesses, because one’s own agency — one’s own activeness — is an essential condition of happiness.
That’s what I think, but, anyway, Greene was a GREAT writer.
