Elementary Composition – Night

In the next month, 2006 world cup is going to held in Germay. I have some expectations toward the world cup. Firstly, I am looking forward that a Korean National team is going to make success. In 2002 world cup, it went up to semi final. I expect that it can make the same success. Next, what I srongly expect is that one of the strong countries ” Gemany” goes up to final. So, I hope that the match between germany and korea can be realized. Then I would like to support a korean team strongly. So, the support will make a Korean team cheer up. Lastly, during the final exam, I should watch the match of the Korean team. I expect that I can face the final exam, enjoying the match. As mentioned above, there are several hopes for the World Cup.  

I have two younger brothers. One of the brothers preforms military service. So, I have not met him for a long time. He has a gorgeous, belevable, and pretty friend. Sometimes, his grilfriend says to me ” I miss your brother.” In June, he is going to come back home for a while. It is a short break. Because I miss him too much, his short visit will make me feel pleased. Maybe my mom will prepare delicilus food for him because he needs a lot of nutritions. I expect that my brother and his girlfriend can spend the short time happily.

AS coming summer, many women struggle to diet for thin body. Here’s good salad  for helping these women. Kiwi is good for women especially because the fruit has vitamin C making skin bright and shiny. Prepare three kiwis, an orange, a third of lettuce, a teaspoon of red wine, plain yogurt 110g, a teaspoon lemon juice, and a little sugar for making kiwi salad. First, peel kiwis and an orange, and then cut kiwis as small dice and orange seperates each. Second, cut the lettuce by hand, and then put them in ice water for several minutes. Third, make sauce to spread on salad. Mix wine, lemon juice, plain yogurt, and sugar together. If you concern about adding sugar, you can miss it. Finally, kiwi and orange on the dish spread the sauce, and enjoy it!

I have reliable, hardworking, and true friends. I have met them since I was a middle school student. Recently we couldn`t meet them because they are very busy with their work. Whenever we are worried about something, we talk about it openly. Its topics are about girl friend, our future, and marriage. When we are exhausted to do our work, we can be reliable advisor one another. so, I am very happy that I have such friends. I can say that I love them.

A few days ago, I went to my freind’s home and stayed 2days in there. Her home is near by Sang-am cgv,so we went to there to see a movie almost 10 at night. Unfortunately, there was no movie we want to see, but I found the movie seems interesting. I thought it was not such a popcorn movie like always hollywood movies do. you know, sang-am cgv is big so sometimes the movie that seems has no popularity but outstanding is showed.

 One day, I watched Academy Awards on TV, and I saw that movie won many prizes. I guessed it was a masterpiece because it wasn’t a blockbuster. Anyway,it is a movie called a ‘Capote’. Capote is a name of a famous writer who wrote ‘Brakfast at Tiffany’s’ and etc. This movie is saying about the relationship between good and bad by showing Capote’s feelings. He read news article that there is a murder case in peaceful farm that people usually called ‘out there’.  A family was kiled very cruelly, so he went there with his friend, Nell.

 Capote met two killers,and he payed attention one killer who was an introvert  person,so he was tempted to make a striking novel after meet him,then he tried make a good relationship with the killer,Ferry Smith. Actually, they met for the sake of each other’s ‘interests’. Capote wanted to make a masterpiece, and Smith wanted to live using Capote’s fame, but they felt that they had someting in common, especially their in childhood. Capote gradually felt pity to Smith, but also felt worldliness.

 Capote was trying to hide his book name,’In cold blood’ and Smithe was also trying to hide the truth that happened that day. As time goes by, a suit became longer, so Capote felt suffering because of Smith. If Smith died, Capote could finish the novel, but he knew that he might feel guilty conscience to wish Smith’s dead.

 One day, pressing by nervous of danger that might be dead Smith confessed the truth to Capote,and Capote got unforgettable mental shock after Smith’s confession. Originally, Smith was not want to kill that family, but he felt ashamed because they treated him as a cruel man, so he killed them by shooting. At that moment after realizes Smith’s motive to murder, Capote was very confused, becuse he become know suddenly how he faced Smith who treat Capote as a friend, and faced mean desires his inside that wanted to hide.

 Smith didn’t help the rescue of Smith, so Smith was condemned by hanging. Capote didn’t want to see Smith’s dead, but he went there because of..Smith’s true mind. Smith thought Capote as a real freind. Smith was died,and Capote could finish the book,then he earn enormous mount of money,fame. However, he didn’t..no, couldn’t write even just one book, and dead living an alcoholic. It was such a frightening end! I was chilled with fright.

 To tell the truth, I am not sure about the truth between the relationship Capote and Smith, like the novel that true and a fake was tied cleverly that was written by Capote, but it seems obvious that the thing a man get near to ‘the truth about oneself’, and it’s tormenting to know what is ‘the truth’ that every novelists’ goal.

 It’s an impossible to turn away my eyes from the screen while I see the movie. Although it has no fantastic visual factor, it’s not a fast-moving paced movie, It focused on the relationship between 2 mans and thh change of their mind, so it might boring,but I like it!Because it made me think a lot, I like it and another things like the way of showing the move, a delicate metaphor.( I have intereted about metaphor since one year ago) I also impressed about main actor’s acting abillity. He won the male actor prize, he deserves it. He’s amazing!

 I think it represents a contradiction very well. Capote wanted desire and friendship both, but he could make only one, so he regrets. It is a topic that arouse everyone’s sympathy, I don’t understand well, but I could feel it. Seeing ‘Capote’ I felt that the moment in life could be the whole life. It is an observation of paradox that creation and ruin comes at the same time. You should try that!

 you know what, the truth is ‘out there’.

I am going to introduce one of my closest friend to you. I have known her since we were 17 years old. We are thick,because we believe each other,and we had a heart to heart talk. She is active,sweet,and optimistic,but she also realiable, strong-willed, and smart. We have a lot in common.I can’t imagine my high school life without her. Because of her affections that set on me, I think she is my ‘friend’,so we’ll be freinds forever.

Someone say that wine is the most delicious medicine. Actually, wine has several good things for health in spite of alcohol. For example, in case of beer, it is a main reason that cause obesity because of high calorie.  If you drink it with some munchies, all of the things store  in the body as fat. However, wine is helpful for arteriosclerosis on the contrary. In additional, it is good for high blood pressure and heart disease. If you drink a cup of wine a day, your health will be improved. Fortunately, the kinds of wine are so various, so you can choose according to your taste. In other words, you can pick out wine as you choose coffe in Starbucks. Because wine suits any food well, so you can enjoy it as your liking.

People often lie. why? There are several reasons. First, they want to hide somthing from someone. For example, a son doesn’t tell his parents that he’s datinga girl because he doesn’t think they will like her. Instead, he says he’s he’s going out with the guys. Second, people lie because they don’t want to do something. For instance, someone invites you to a party. You think it will be boring, so you say you are busy. Finally, people often lie because they don’t want to tell someone bad news. For example, you have just had a very bad day at work, but you don’t feel like talking about it. So if someone asks you about your day, you just say that everything was fine.

Do you know a Kimchi museum in seoul? The museum was founded in 1986 to highlight Korea’s rich Kimchi culture. The exhabit includes displays of cooking utensils and materials related to making, storing, and eating the famous pickled vegetables. The museum also provides details about  the history and nutritional benifits of Korea’s most beloved side dish. If you don’t know about Kimchi, you’d better go to the Kimchi museum.

Many Korean people don’t like cats, and I am the one of them. Just looking at them is scary enough for me because of their eyes. They are grim and acute because they glitter like tigers’ eyes. Plus, meow sound makes my blood run cold. Especially wild cats’ snarl is similar to a baby cry, so I am seized with fear. Furthermore, cats are offensive and aggressive. Sometimes they scratch people with the sharp claws when they are threatened. Wild cats often overturn garbage cans at night to get food. Cats are helpful to get rid of rats, but making mess with the smelly and unsanitary garbage rather put rats together. Cats aren’t good friends to people but trouble makers.

What do you do when you are in some free time? What kind of hobby do you have? My hobby is to play soccer with my friends. I first played  soccer when I was 15years old. With my friends, I have played soccer 12hours a day for a month! And after that time my soccer ability improved a lot. When I was a high school student there were no soccer team in our school,so my friends and  I made a team named M.O.K, Myth of Kyenam, and we won the 2nd prize at the Bucheon City high school soccer tournament. We were very proud of our achievment. Still now my hobby is to play soccer. Every Sunday I go to my high school, and play games with my friends. While I’m playing soccer I feel happy very much. I want to continue this hobby as long as I can.

What do you do on weekend? I think people loved weekend because we need to rest. On weekend, I meet my friends made in the middle and high school days. Sometimes we enjoy drinking, shopping , chatting and whatch movies. When the weather is fine, my families go out on a picnic to a scenic places to take pictures and eat delicious food. On this weekend, however, I have to study hard in the library for the test on Monday next week and for the report on Wednesday. I wish go to the travel when finish the exam .

This year Wold Cup is being held in Germany. It starts in 9th of June,and the final match is on 9th of July. It’s a long journey to the end. Korea has been qualified on this World Cup. Korea stepped into the World Cup 6 times in a row,and in the latest World Cup in Korea, Korea National Team had achieved their best, the 4th. On this World Cup, Korea is in the group G with France, Togo,and Switzerland. Our first match is with Togo on 13th of June. Korea is expected to win this game to quailify to the 2nd round more easily. I believe Korea will to a good job again like the latest World Cup. I hope Korea to win the game between Togo,Switzerland, and make a draw with France then qualify to the 2nd round. Korea National Team had left Korea yesterday to practice more before the World Cup. I know they have already practiced a lot, and  I believe they will do good  again in this World Cup. I will support them as a member of “Red Devil”. Koreas qulifying to the 2nd round is my best wish next month!   

Have you seen  movie or a book called the ‘Da Vinci Code’? The ‘Da Vinci Code’ written by Dan Brown has been the one of most  selling books all over the world. The forty-million copies of book were sold out and also Sony Pictures  made the story  to movie by director, Ron Haword . I think a book is better than movie. It take an increasing interest in peopli’s concern. However, Christian groups  such as  ’Da Vinci Deception’ and ‘The Da Vinci Codebreaker’ were accusing The ‘Da Vinci Code’ movie due to its contents.

Everybody loves a party, but planning a party can be a lot of work. In addition to deciding about food and entertainment, which can be pretty expensive, and you have to dicide how to inform your friends that there is going to be a party. When I was young, I allways give a party in my birthday. Today, I dont  give a party and just eat delicious food with my friends amd familly,because that is hard to me.

What do you do when you are feeling boring? In my case, I go to a theater to see a movie. I like watching movies. There is no thing to do then watching movies. Watching movies don’t cost lots of money,but it’s a good way to spend time. When you meet a girl, watching movies can be a good dating course. When meeting my girlfriend, I always go to the theater, and watch movie. At 2003, I have seen about 48 movies a year! I’ve collected the tickets, and these tickets became a good memories of mine. If you are bored in your daily life, try to go to the theater with some friends. It can be a good change of life.

In summer, we can see too many mosquitoes. I hate mosquitoes very much, because they suck our blood. If I was bitten by a mosquito, I feel itchy. It is hard to catch a mosquito by hand, so we make a mosquito-fire to drive away mosquitoes. People have to spend money because we should buy a mosquito-fumigator. I don’t like mosquito’s sound, because It is an offensive to the ear. 

I have a sister. Her age is 28 this year. She is now working in “Samsung”. Through reminding my life I remember my sister as a very well studying person. When she was in the elementary school she always had the 1st in her school,and this didn’t changed until she graduated the middle school. And after going to the high school, she didn’t studied a little, so she had a little slump in her grade. But she graduated high school by 8th rank.After graduating,she entered Yonsei University on 1998. Then on year 2003 she entered Samsung, the Korea’s biggest company. I can’t tell you how much she gets from the cmpany, but she is working in a pretty good working conditions. I always wanted to be like my sister. Still now she is my model in life. I hope to become like her in some day.

  My brother has some bad habits. First, he sleeps and gets up late. Because of further distance from home to his school, he has to get up earlier. But he gets up late, because he goes to bed late. He needs an effort for them. Second, he plays computer games for a long time. He usually wastes time to play computer games for hours in week day and 14 hours in weekend. That will be bad for his health. Lastly, he hates doing exercise. He dislikes to sweat and run, so he is putting on flesh. Although he realized the seriousness of the lack of exercise, he doesn’t try to get rid of that. 

I like singing songs. My friends also like singing. So my friends and  I sometimes go to karaoke to play. Then ow could we play fun in Karaoke? I’ll tell you how to. First, don’t go karaoke without drinking. You cannot bring so-ju in to karaoke. So you must drink somewhere outside and then go to karaoke after drinking. Your friends and you are a bit drunk, so you can play more  magnanimously. If you are not, maybe you can’t play well because it’s a little ashamed. Second, sing songs like rock or dance musics. If you  sing a ballade it can destroy the atmosphere in the karaoke. Sing songs in high tempo. It can make people to feel more exciting. Actually, there is no way to play fun but, the most important thing is to go there with the person you like. Be more friendly with your friends and make good relationships with them. 

I love playing soccer. Also I like watching a soccer game. I want to talk about my favorite soccer player. My favorite player is  Park Ji-sung. He is a member of a popular club team Manchester United. This year was the first year in the team,but he did a very good job  in his team. Almost all Koreans are proud of Ji-sung. When I went to see a soccer game on 26, May, 2006  with Bosnia Herzegovina everyone in the stadium made a big shout to Ji-sung. Now, he became the world star. I like him because in my oppinion he is the best among Korean players. His physical stamina is like an engine. He never gets tired during the game. I like the way he plays. I hope Ji-sung will do his best job on this World Cup in Germany.

I think that my university life is really hard for several reasons. First, there are bunch of homework. Because the presentation assignment is mandatory in every major course, I have a lot of things to prepare. I have to spend most of my time to do my assignment and prepare exam. Second, I have few friends. Because my department is mostly composed of female students, the circumstance is really depressed and cold. I think most female students are reluctant to associate with someone new. Finally, whole school life is monotonous and boring. Everything in school repeats again and again. I hope to do something new and meet somebody new, but all the environment condition prevents me from doing that way. I hope to walk the path that is different from the one I used to follow from next week.

KUM-DO is really beneficial for several reasons. First, KUM-DO improves my concentration ability. Because the wooden sward is not light, it requires a lot of concentration for me to brandish accurately. The accurate KUM-DO action cannot be made without concentration. Second, it improves my physical strength. After I practice sward action many times, I can feel that I gain muscle and power. I think that only holding the sward require substantial amounts of physical strength. Finally, it gives me motivation for life. After I work out hard, I am usually soaked with perspiration. Whenever I sweat profusely, I feel that I ‘m alive. Perspiration encourages me to live with positive and refreshing mind.

My friend is really unusual. He trusts somone easily because he is too naive. He think that he got closed with someone if the person nice to him a little bit. For example, he think that he is closed with somebody if the person put some comments on his writing on the internet bulletine board. So he often send a text message and say hello althouth the opponent rarely respond to it.   And the opponent doesn’t think that they are closed at all. Even though all his neighborhood act like they are his good friend, they are not a real friend but only somebody he knew. They seems like good friend, but most of them are not valuable person as much as he trust. But he believe that all his classmates and neiborhoods are his closest friend. He will pull himself together once he experience strong betray. But sometimes I envy him because he can do what i cannot.

Mosquitoes have become big trouble for several reasons. First, mosquito transmites epidemics to the people. Because the summer is coming, there are many mosquitoes which are infected by Japanese encephalitis. Second, mosquitoes disturb my sleeping at night. Because they fly around my ears and make noisy, it irritates me. After Mosquitoes bite my arms and legs, the spot is really itch and swells up. Finally, mosquitoes take my most valuable things from me. It costs me a lot of money to buy mosquito repellent, spray, and mosquito net. Because money is most important thing in my life, I have to save my money and refrain myself from spending money.

Cold comes whenever people get tired. It is good that throw off cold as fast as possible because if it will be long, it cause mess in your whole life. Therefore, you must know good hehavior for getting rid of cold. Fist, sleep well. sleep is important thing for increasing your health, so you have to sleep appropriately even if you have many works to do. Second, drink water. Enough water keep you healthy, and even it is helpful for healing. If you have sore throat, drinking water is must be needed. Third, open windows. Changing of air is natural thing in daily life, but, especially, a weaker having a cold need fresh air although the person feel a chill.

Flies are very annoying insect in summer for three reasons. First,  flies carry herm and disease like cockroaches. It is a reason that makes food get bad. Second, flies are very dirty because they like to visit or live in trash. It is so disgusting. Third, the sound of flying is terrible to tired people under the strong sun. Flies are difficult to catch, and whenever invade people’s space, so people can’t be away from it.

Most students plan to go abroad to study or travel. There are some advice when you are travelling.

First, students ought to pack a first-aid kit and any medication they need, and they shouldn’t drink water from the tap. Second, students should tell the the driver where they’re going before they get on, and they have to have exact cahge for the fare. Thrid, they shouldn’t carry a lot of cash. they can be stollen by thief! Last, in most countries, students don’t have to have an international driver’s license, but they must have a license from their won country. They also need to be over 21.

A long time ago, a animal that can speak English lived in Africa. The special animal was a lion. Mr. Leo was the master of it, and he earned much money with the lion because many people in the world wanted to see it only once. Thanks to the curiosity, Mr. Leo could buy anything he want. Especially, he liked diamond, so he always wore a diamond at least. He was so arrogant, so many people got angry eventually. One day, a wizard in black came his village, and he cast a spell on him become malaria. Next day, malaria spread easily, and attacked all beings. Besides, tigers got angrying because of malaria attcked people, too. A wizard wanted to gave him a good scolding, but it caused downfall of the village.

When I was young, I had lots of dreams. but, from when I was a child and now on, my dream always changes as the conditions.  At first, I wanted to be a teacher when I was in the fourth grade. At that time, we had always seen teacher’s job and were influenced by great teacher. One of them was my homeroom teacher. She was  always very generous to the students. I have thought that she had loved students and had warm hearts. So, I hoped to resemble as her. When I was in high school, I was very interested in the current events. So, I read a newspaper and saw plenty of  books. After that, I changed my mind. I decided to be a journalist when I was in high school.  To come true my dream, I also joined the English-language newspaper club called “HERMES”. The club published a newspaper twice a year. There, I could learn process of issue newspaper. With that view, we had from interviewed with many people to edited the newspaper. Although I had difficulty in writing an article, I completed my task with teacher’s assistance. Then, I felt worthwhile. After the experienced, I came to have a realistic goal. From now on, I am going to inch my way forward to my dream.
