Elementary Composition – Night

  Korea is the unique nation, which is divided into two parts, in the world. I think we should unite as soon as possible because there are several reasons. First, our race is unitary, and has for 5000 years history. But North Korea and South Korea have different ideologies and strutures of society. Two countries also have different ways of life and their values. Moreover, they differ from economic, sociologic and cultural quality. However, we had had a single nation, language, history and culture, while we had lived in Korean peninsula for a long period. So, it is natural to combine separated two countries into a single nation. Second, we can achieve the peace of whole Korean peninsula, northeast Asia and also whole wolrd in advance by achieving the unification of Korea. North Korea may bring on war any time, because North Korea and South Korea are in the state of a truce. Therefore, we can contribute to world peace by removing the danger of Korean war in Asia. Third, there are a lot of people more than ten million who are separated with their families or relatives in both South Korea and North Korea. Some of them could meet their separated families in the family reunion campaigns but the number of people who could meet their families in the meetings are small and the meeting time is very short. If two countries are united again, dispersed family members can meet each other, because it is allowed to come and go anywhere. Finally, both countries can get benefits by uniting into a single country because South Korea can utilize buried natural sources in North Korea. And two countries are maybe stronger in the international society. Consquently, we can grow more because we may get economic benefits. If we get all those results, we also will be able to show the successful instance of the country unification to all nations in the world.      

Are you for, or against euthanasia? In my oppinion euthanasia should be allowed . Some people says that any killing is not right. But if someone is beyond help euthanasia should be allowed, for example a person being kept alive by using machines.we of course do everything possible to keep someone alive. I agree with that, but I also think that it’s a bit impractical  to keep someone alive when they can’t even function,and it can also be huge drain on the family financially.

 On my way to come home, I just experienced outrageous situation. I studied with my friend in the library, and I was comimg home a little bit late than other days. I got off a subway, and I was walking to my home. By the way, one man who looked like about 35 years old called me. I wondered why he had called me. Suddenly, he said like this “Would you some drink beer together?” That is not tea, but beer… Moreover, he seemed my uncle by ascent! That moment I was at a loss what to do. So I answered I have to go home quickly, because I have many reports. And I walked and walked. However, he followed me continually, talking about him. I was so scared. I have ever met that person directly. Anyway I was nervous, but I had courage and said. ” I’m sorry, but I really have to go quickly, so why don’t you find another person?” After all he was gone, so I had a lucky escape. But I would like to scream then. Next time, I will come home early. Let’s go home earlier!

Do you know TV program ‘Project Runway2’? It’s kind of reality program, and It’s one of the my favorite programs. It’s very interesting. Sixteen designers compete each other for the runway where their dreams will come true. The designers make new dress and the one who graded the lowest by judges will be out a week. I enjoy watching similar kinds of TV program like that because I like their challenge to make their dream come true. Now,for me it’s time to head out into the real world, and I have to start thinking about a career. I have to work really hard, and I also wnt to make my dream come true like them in reality show.

These days my sleep time is growing during the day. I can never feel satisfying about my sleeping. I know this reason. That’s why I can’t almost sleep during the night. Because I have a lot of homeworks and reports from my classes. So When I sit somewhere, I sleep everywhere. I don’t like sleep during class. But I sometimes fall into sleep without my will. When I get on a bus, the same situation happen. Even I miss to get off a bus stop. So I should walk more and more. So yesterday, I slept a lot. I think that I slept about 12 hours. But today, my head is still unclear. I still feel sleep. Why don’t my sleep end? This fact let me be sad.

Monday, this week, I saw the movie “corpse bride”. This story is about a groom “Victor” who is hero and afraid about marriage. His marriage day before, vitor makes many mistake, and finally he go out of the rehearsal of his marriage. During his practice in the woods, he put in his marriage ring to a stick. But the stick is corpse bride’s finger. The corpse bride misunderstand the marriage. So she take him to underworld. In there, vitor experience very unique things. This is for children movie. But it’s very interesting to me. Actually I like the director Tim Burton. I like his unique movie and his little bit strange mental world. This movie doesn’t have only fun. This movie also has scare just like The  Nightmare Before Chistmas. Anyway I feel so good because of this movie.

  I like movies which have unique individualities and good artistic qualities. However, most people tend to be fond of commercial movies only. Of course, I don’t mean to say all of commercial movies don’t have any good artistic qualities. But most commercial movies tend to pursue only entertainingness and nudity. These would be reasons why they would be able to attract audiences’ attention. Movies are said to be the art expressed by the screens. In that sense, I’d like to talk such worldly movies should be avoided. Besides through commercial movies, American culture would be naturally widespred all over the world. Accordingly it may happen the one-sided cultural subordination. With capital on a large-scale, they can get rid of each country’s specific film industry and subsequently some good movies of their own would be in danger of being detroyed by them. Through movies, we should not only relieve from stress in the way of catharsis but also advance further even to provide our minds with plenty of nutrition. On this point I suggest that wi shouldn’t enjoy watching only commercial movies, rather enjoy seeing a variety of movies with good artistic qualities and unique individuals from around the world. To accomplish these, audiences should think of the movies as a part of art and filmmakers shouldn’t also think of the movies as a means to gey profits only, and should regard them as a medium to project their thought in the movies with such an elevated attitude of aesthetic artists.    
 

I have a special class. The name of class is Teaching Korean Language for preschooler. I choose this class with only interesting. When I was a kid, my dream was being kindergarten teacher. Even though I give it up now, I am interested about preschool education. Then I like playing the piane, cutting and gluing colored paper, something like that. This things are connected with preschool education. But these days I am regretting a little. Because of making a doll. Especially needlework is so terrible to me. Yesterday and Today, I made a pig doll because of this my homework. But I have little problem. So I am very worrying about that. I don’t have confidence. Anyway I will never choose these kinds of classes. I will study only my major.

A few days ago, I happen to come by the neighborhood that I lived when I was child.Nothing has changed there so I feel like just that I arrived in a time machine .I lived for 7years, and went to a elementary school there. So I have so many memories there.I remembered the days of childhood when I looked around the apartment that I lived, the playground that I almost always went to, the elementary school, and my friends’ houses. I just had many memories,and I could find  happy memories all over the place. Thinking about my childhood, I’m always happy, and miss it.

 The person that I was influenced to become a better man is Martin Luther King.

When I was young, my father taught me that the poors are poor because they are lazy and unthoughtful. He said that I don’t have to be sorry for them or have any duty to help them. He was only interested in collecting money, not giving a hand for the poor. Naturally, I thought that the poors are not related with me and I don’t have to feel pity to them. But one day, I accidently watched an address that Martin Luther King made on TV. I was very shocked. Because his address was so emotional that everybody listening to him was speachless including me. After I watched him on TV,  my mind was changed. I started to think poor and isolated people like Black are not lazy anymore. They don’t want to be poor but the things around them made their way to be poor. They just have no chance to be rich or to live a better life. He already knew it very well. He knew that the Black people are same as White people and tried to make people realize that. Anyway, he was killed by someone who was opposite to him. But I think Matin left us a lot of lessons and made people like me change their mind. So lately, I joined an certain institution which is doing many activities for the poors. And owing to the website of that, I met a little girl named Awa from Senegal and I decided to help her constantly with a little money I own. Now, I feel so proud of myself and feel more respectful for Martin. I’ll keep doing my way, not my father’s way, to help other poor people around the world.

I watched some TV talk show. A poor boy who was accepted The Princeton University appeared as guest. His father lost job at the IMF period, so his family was embrassed affair from time. However, he study hard by himself, so he can enter The Princeton University. Almost his says are very important to me. Most of important one is about traning of concentration. If you improve your concentration, first you need a stopwatch. You hold the clock on 10 minutes. You have to no think other superflous thinking. You promise yourself to concentrate only your study. You maintain the promise about one week. You will soon get use to it. Then, you add to the time as 20 minutes. Next time 30 minutes, and 40 minutes… You add to the promise time more and more. He said that oneday you can concentrate a 1 hour or more that. I will try out the method. It’s very useful for many students. Have a try the method you guys. Let’s go The Princeton University. We can do it, too!!

“I really want to go to the military service” Have you ever heard this statement? This statement was used from any company. As soon as this advertisement came out, its statement became a word on every-body’s lips. Also it remained the Korean people to go to the military service. I think every man who are good for health should enter the army. If everybody didn’t enter the army, how we would live in safety? When we were menaced by national security, we would scrap a living from day to day. Thus, We should know that national security is the best problem for us. In this way, what should we do to defend the country? We have an obligation to keep our liability for military service, and we have to perform our duty. Also, in Korea it is really importance to go to the military service. For example, some of entertainers are in difficulty, because they didn’t go to the army. Won-Bin, who is famous for actor in Korea, was a discharge from service due to family hardships. Even if it is truth, he may spend hard time because of it. 

Falling asleep is very important. Everybody knows it. However, many people have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep for an adequate amount of time. We called it insomnia. The sleep makes us comfort. “For he grants sleep to those he loves” This sentence is written in Bible, and it means the sleep is a present from God. We know well the importance about sleep like this. Then, how do we solve this well? I think there are three most commonly proposed solutions to this insomnia problem, which we can solve by taking shower of warm water before you fall asleep, regular exercise and regular life pattern. It is my best things to solve when I can’t fall asleep. 

I agree that many people serve their time in prison and are released, but they end up committing another crime and return to prison. I think it is why the criminal justice system doesn’t function well, so we have to make some programs to improve them who are in prison. First of all, we have to educate them, keep strongly the law, and never treat them with discrimination. “There is no need of pleonasm on the importance of education.” Everybody knows that education is the best power to develop our country. Every year so many people are released, but they can’t anything. Why? Because they don’t have anything skills. Even if they want to work, how can they work well without skills? Every korean should finish secondary education, but there are a lot of people who have not finished secondary education yet. In conclusion, I can understand that we are afraid of them. However, if we changed our mind, we could feel fear little. Prisoners can become better than before, and we have to help them to make their reform a success. We are not different from each other.  Everybody wishes to develop them, live with them well. Therefore, let’s educate, keep to the law, not treat them with discrimination for establishing a lasting peace.

In our world, there are so many teachers, and I have met a lot of teachers through my school life. As we know, teaching is very important. If teachers don’t teach well, our country will undermine the foundation of state. Even though teachers are very important, there are many various styles of teachers. We could know there are 3 types of teachers we have known, those who are very impressive, indifference and up and down. As there are so many teachers, there can be some problems. As everybody knows, education is very important. Therefore we should extend school education. “Primary education forms the groundwork for building up a man’s character.” It may mean that education must be not ignored. Also, we can say education depends on teachers. If we meet good teachers, we may develop much better than now. Of course it doesn’t mean as we don’t meet good teachers, we can’t develop. It means teachers can give me chances to develop. Also, we should make teacher’s training school a lot. First of all we should not only focus on ability to be teachers. We should know not only ability but also humanity. Sometimes humanity is more important. I think teachers should be estimated by students, because teachers need to educate to teach students. As teachers were educated well, they might inspire us. Therefore, I wish almost all our teacher were respected by their students. 

By the age of 16, I was admitted into Sun-Rin commercial high school. In there I had met a teacher who I was affected. He was a very disciplinarian. If someone had faults, he flogged mercilessly. Almost all students were afraid of him, but I was not. I thought he was a man among men, because he usually applauded students if they were deserved admiration. He was my class teacher in one grade. He suggested me to be a class monitor. As I wanted to be a class monitor, I accepted his suggestion. As I was a strong candidate^^(because I had a lot of friends in our class), I got elected a class monitor. Even though he was a very disciplinarian, he was indulgent with me, and I persevered in my efforts because of him. I wanted him to gladden, and I was always proper in my behavior. In that ways I had learn honesty, sincerity and endurance. I had had no dream until I met him. Now I have dream which is teacher for students. I know that I still have a long way to go to achieve my ultimate goal. However I have strong faith that I can do it, because he has taught me a lot. Nowadays, I really meet him again to appreciate it. 

 Today, when I was having a lunch at the cafeteria, I saw the news about Korean kidnapping in Nigeria. The news said that five Korean engineers were being kidnapped by Nigerian militants. Recently Nigerian situation is really unstable because of terrors and kidnapping by Nigerian terrorists. In fact, many foreign engineers from other countries already have been kidnapped many times in Nigeria. In last May, four local police and an American reporter were found killed.

 Yesterday, Chinese Language major presented many performances at the little theater in the student hall. Our seniors presented a play. We dramatized a play named “Urine Town”. This play won the Tony Awards in 2002. The story of ‘Urine Town’ was about a happening that happened in a town which was suffered of lack of water. Therefore, the inhabitants had to pay whenever they wanted to use toilets. We changed the people’s name and script in Chinese. I played a bad owner of ‘Urine Good Company” in the play. The character was really bad and selfish, and I played that character really insidiously and artfully. Fortunately, our all team members had a great acting abilities. Therefore, when our paly was completely finished, we received a thundrous round of applause.

 When my university newspapers issued, I sometimes read it in the subway. Today as I leave my school, I found my university newspapers. And I began to read it on my way to home in the sybway. There were many interesting asticles. One of those was most interesting to me, because it was written by professor of my department. So I could feel pleasant during that time. Why don’t you read it?

People interact with other people and make friends natually to get along.

A friend is a special being as a life companion. First, friends make us happy and make us laugh.

Second, friends help us when we need them. Third, friends are the helpers who teach us something we don’t know of.

Even though friends at times can hurt us, I think friends are good partners whom we can accompany in our life. 

  When fifty years ago, women and men had each of their separate positions. Most women stayed at home doing all the housework and raising all the dhildren. On the other hand, most men worked outside on the farms or in the companies to earn the money and to support their families. 

  But today we can see that a lot of things have changed for women. They don’t have to be doomed to do housework for the rest of their lives. They can be successful business persons. They are not obliged to have 100% responsibility for doing housework or raising their children. There are also more specific laws for women being enacted. Nowadays, most women are as well educated as men. They have more opportunities to apply for jobs, too.    

He is not handsome, but sincere, When he enter Europe league first time, nobody can tell his sucess. However, he suceed. Lately, his feet picture is famous on internet world. His feet are flatfeed and it have many hurts. Nevertheless, I like it, because the picture tell almost his effort. Many Korean said if he is more handsome, he will be more popular than David Beckham in Korea. I think that his play have already pass over Beckham’s play. Recently,  the Korean national soccer team make little progress at a Worldcup try out match. People doubt to go next round at the worldcup, but I think that we can go next round because we have Park. I believe him. Let’s support our team~~^^

 If I go to a theater, I would a movie starting the first because I don’t care about my favorite genre, If Only is one of them. I watched it without watching a pre-film because If Only was a movie which extempore watched with my friends. At first, I knew it was just a melo movie and regretted watching this movie if I feel to be a little bored. But it was not a simple romance movie but a sad novie mixed by a little fantastic factor, the figure of a male hero who definitely tried in order to block the death of his lover in the situation taking place happenings a day ago made me feel to be cold to my backbone.From now on, I began not to watch the pre-film of a movie.

A choice of a job is important for better life. A good workplace should be a work I like and enjoy because I have to work forever.  In every aspects, it should be sound and stable. It should be paid a high annual salary. It shoul be guaranteed a diverse insurances.  It should have a vision in the future. It is better if an international enterprise like Mcdonald and GE.  It has to have a structure which can open our ability with our best skill.  I have to carefully choose the job because choosing the job for my better life can influence my children who will be born in the future.

 Bae Yong Jun is the best actor of Korea and currently the best star of Korean Wave. With the role of Junsang took on Winter Sonata, he is much loved by many fans thanks to his pure image. He had brought an explosive popularity in the southesatern countries, Japan, China, Thailand, etc. and is much loved in many countries, the north America, the U.S. and Canada, etc. and Arab. He is called Yonsama in Japan, the strong wind of Yonsama has been much contributed to enhance the cultural and economic image of Korea

It is really hot day, and makes me discourage. I think I am really strong during summer, but I am exhausted because of weather. However, it is cool to spend time in library to read comic book. Even though I was not going to read comic, I did to avoid being exhausted. Its title is “Touch,�? and I don’t know its mean because I don’t read all, but it is really interesting. As there are 10 volumes, it will take long time. So you had not better read because it may waste time. However if you read that book, you may not be able to read. If you want to read, contact me, and I will give you. Anyway, I was really happy to meet you in Gord’s class. Have a nice summer vacation.

  There are a lot of stories about origins of Valentine’s Day. One historian speaks that Valentine’s Day stems from Rome’s Saint Valentine’s Day(St. Valentine). At that time the Emperor Claudius wanted to draw young men in the army, so he imposed a ban on marriage. Hereupon Valentine opposed a ban on marriage, and united some pair of lovers in marriage. He was martyred on A.D. February 14, 269 through that crime. Before Valentine was killed, he fell in love with the daughter of his jailer. He left a letter called “Love from Valentine” for her, and then it was become custom to convey a message of love on Valentine’s Day.      

  There are other stories about origins of Valentine’s Day. The English believed that time of February 14 was a mating day. The other is that the Romans held the festival named Lupercalia on February 14 in ancient. They prayed for protection from wolves and women prayed for fecundity. It is said that festival in Rome was become Valentine’s Day of today being connected to Britain. 

  In these days, chocolate is used by intermediate that give love on Valentine’s Day becouse chocolate is sweet. However, it is the trend that prepare only own individual gift except chocolate recently.

I saw a movie few months ago. I have wanted to see that movie when I was an elementary school student, because when I saw it’s poster at very first time, it was striking even I was too young to feel how sexy is.

 So, I saw that. It was so seductive movie that named ‘the lovers’;. Have you ever heard about it? The story is quite simple. A chinese man loves a french girl, but they couldn’t lasts their realationship at the end of their lives. I don’ know why I attractied, but I want to love someone deeply even I know that it is an unattainable desire like the actors in this movie.

It has proven that everyone has a weak point even they couldn’t notice. So, what makes me feel that I’m not a good person? There are three types of reasons why I think like that.

 First, people are not judged by their capability. If they don’t have the proper ability that could carry on their tasks, and couldn’t show their ability that they can afford suitably, they would be lossers and lost their temper at all. So, they tend to be perfect.

 Second, for me, apperance is quite an important reason to live in a intense sosiety. I think it’s not only my case but also everyone’s. I know judjing someone by his appearance is ridiculous, but it couldn’t be ignored, and social current makes me think like that! It’s dangerous. It may cause people to get plasic surgery. People who get ‘natural good looking’ thank god for giving you such a fantastic faces and body! You have been chosen.

 Third, I do something that I’m not proud of because of my boring life. Even everyone lives the same way, but I get bored easily. I’m sick and tired of doing the same things. Sometimes I wish I could live in counterclockwise.

 As I mentioned above, people are judged by their circumstance. That means, you can change your own circumstance! So, if you want you be proud of yourself, you should make and effort constantly!
