Examination system should be banned in university.

First, students only focus on the results. They think highly of the result of exam than the process they really have learned. Since they ignore the important process and principle in scholarship as if students only memorize a formula instead of prove in math at the high school times, they naturally come to get a perception about how to get a better record on their mindset. As a result, pure scholarship is degraded and university also degrades to job factory on these days.

Second, University lost live education so-called Veritas. They couldn’t study deeply from bottom of their heart but do the superficial study as the way to scratch the surface of watermelon. Despite they did their best to memorize their study to take a test well during semester, what they’ve learned has gone away from their brain after end of semester. They have done the temporary study depending on their short-term memorization. The memorization based on indoctrinated education ignores their creative ability on their potential.

Finally, examination becomes a tool to control the students strictly. The way to grade is very harsh and stressful for students. Despite 20’s is a golden age of life, they lost their happiness in their life. Students need to be free from ties of stress and suppression.

Our university festival is numbered. So almost students expect this festival. Nowdays, popular entertatiners tend to star on the stage and become the main of festival that is not so different with concert. I heard  from radio that their performing fee is more than 10 million won and could reach upon 20 million won at the maximum in accordance of name value. Each board of students in unversties competes to take more popular entertainer to attract lots of people and show their ability as well as self-esteem bewteen universties. And They even spend more than a half of total fund during this period.  Above all, I was shocked felt some absurd that we have to pay expensive money including our tuition fee to see the celebrity blink in eye who just may perform their show for a few minutes. It’s so contradiction that we seriously used to oppose raising tuition fee at the early time of this year.  And I heard that some students in Seoul university got injured by pressure in thousnads of crowds because backward people suddenly flock forward to see Wonder girls. Neverthless, almost students don’t think negatve of the festival because of the unique period in semester they can enjoy without burden and stress. Is it all right for you to become commercialism in campus ? 

Nowdays, I usually hang around listening the mp3 of pop song. It make wake me up a half asleep at the commuting time and kill time my boring time. And I used to get some inspiration through lyrics and can acceess English with interesting not study. But when I look at the lyrics of pop song, I got surprised and realizesd belately I had misunderstood the pop song untill now regardless of lyrics. For example, the one of my favorite songs is ‘More than words’ made by Extreme. The touching melody sounds very sweet and the sounds of accoustic guitar grab my attention. I thought it sounds like very pure and innocent love song.  So, I used to memirize the sounds of lyrics at high school time without understanding contents. However, when I found the contents of lysics these days, my innocent fantasy about the song totally is boken down into pieces at a time. It actually means ‘more than words’ literally: ‘Saying I love you is not the words I want to here from you’ and ‘you wouldn’t have to say that you love me’ and ‘touch me hold me close’…( from the song made by Extreme) It might sounds like pervert or only physical love at the viewpoint in Korean value. After then, I got to listen the pop song with different mind out of prejudice that refreshed and renewed on my perception. In addition, the song of ‘Isn’t she lovely?’ made by Stievi wonder is also not the sweetheart love song. It is usually used as CM song at love-love situation in TV show. It’s wrong,too. The content actually include prasing the birth of his daughter in surprising ton. I think this kinds of trival discoveries make me get out of bias distorted by mass media. So I recomand you to listen the pop song carefully sensitively not just passive attitude.

The expensive tuition fee in university happen to become a hot issue. It finally break through 10 million won per a year from this in 2008. we can feel so burden about this as well as with our skin by ourselves ,too. But nothing has returned to us such as well-fare system in our campus although we pay so far more money to university than before. There are even poor friends getting a part time job to supply the fee a little despite they reduce their free time or self-studying. What is worse, LMB administration present an alternative which the students could pay the tuition fee after they graduate from their university, What is different with tuition fee loan that add some interests? Post payment system would be paid additional interest, too. In additon, If they don’t get a job after graduation , it carries so much possible for them to become delinquent person in credit grade. It bring about enlarging a gap over and over between the rich and the poor. It needs to refrain the raising fee or develop the scholarship system which pay back to more students.
