I saw the news about weather today. It recorded the coldest in this year. However, if we go out, we can see lots of students who do not wear outers. They are wearing only school uniform. Even girl students wear only skirt. If you are Korean, you absolutely know the uncomfortable feelings and inconvenience. However, school knows these things, but they made a rule that students cannot wear any outer except for school uniform. Many parents are disagreeing with this rule, but school is keeping on following it. They are giving us 3 reasons for the rule; Some students’ outers can make disharmony, it can give pressure to parents, and some students do not prefer to wear school uniform inside of the outer.

           First, some students’ outers can give disharmony to other students. Nowadays, students regard the outer from the brand, The North Face, as a normal thing. However, the price of it is over 400,000 to 500,000 won. It is almost the similar as monthly institution fee. Because most students are wearing it, many students who do not have one think they have to buy and wear it as soon as possible. Cloth is the way to present their individual personality. However, they are ignoring it and just following the trend.

           As I said a second ago, the specific brand of the outer costs very highly and many students think they have to wear it without any choice. Therefore, they say to their parents to buy it for themselves. The price of it is a big part of average income. If the children keep on saying that they want to buy and wear it, the parents would have no choice finally. Therefore, it can be another burden to the parents.

           Last but not least, by the outers, students do not prefer the school uniform jacket. School uniform is controlling what students do naturally. However, students wear the outer instead of the school uniform jacket. If they are students, they have to wear school uniform even though they do not want to do. Most of the Korean students have worn school uniform every day. It is students’ duty.

           Even though in the very cold weather, it is very hard to endure chilly days with only school uniform. However, by the outers, there are several negative effects to school, students and their parents. If the problems are solved out, they will be able to wear outers to their school.
