Most minorities have had difficulties in given the chance that become upper-class and take up professional in U.S as compared with the whites until now. The Korean images get better in U.S. nowaday, but they are still troubled with discrimination and disfavor because of wrong awareness and stereotype. This wrong awareness about Korean-American could be confirmed easily in many movies and drama which show Korean-American is cruel and cold-heated. If you think the movies reflect social problem and awareness but just not fictional products, there are many problems being not easily acceptable in many movies. However, I assure that in this circumstance, they can succeed in upper class. Because of pride of their root, communicating other races and breaking their wrong stereotype.
To begin with , the Korean-American have confidence about their Own. When they bear in mind their spirit, they can get more high and Professional leader. The Korean-American don’t mean the person who simply live in U.S. They put their root in Korean thought, history and tradition. It will be real Korean-American when they transplant their spirit from our country to U.S. Hong-Jo Ko, who recognize country’spolitical situation in problematic, have tried to improve for the better atmosphere. The most important reason about their behavior is that on underlying of them. If there is not identity steely and they know that if they aren’t. It will be impossible to succeed in there. So we have to break the stereotype that Korean has small mind and they seldom appeal oneself. For this, it is on the first side to make reputation of ability of ours and parents also devote to education by which they can confirm themselves as Korean-American by having a sense of purposeand identity.
Second of my idea is that American-Korean should have mind more globally by openly communicating various races. Immigration or going abroad for better education is more and more increasing. But it’s very common to stuck themselves in with isolating from other. David Kim who succeed in America said that “ how Do I break glass ceiling in U.S society? you need to break out of the crust which formed by yourself. You’d better communicate with the outside than being obessed in a score. America has very extrovert atmosphere. They give a opportunity to everyone. So who has confidence about and well communicate with other will has more possible to win in the new world.
Finally, Korean-American should break wrong stereotype. Most minorities have had stereotype that they consider to receive discrimination. So they consider to receive low education, wage and welfare. But like Obama, there are many successful minorities. They more tried to succeed in upper class than whites. I assumed it is not related between efforts and racial discrimination. In given circumstance, Korean-American also should try more hard than whites. And then they must secceed in US.
In conclusion, as most successful people have the feature to succeed, If Korean-American understand rightly about US by acute analyst and establish their root and try hard, Korean-American can enjoy the better life in there. And no more American dream is just dream.
