In Korea, move out of one’s parents before they get married is not common to young people. Actually I am not sure but around my surroundings do not. Because it’s hard to them live without environment of parents; that is family. If young people could maintenance themselves, many Korean parents don’t want them to move out. Lots of parents pretend their children who are enough old to independent to young. I think it is based on a large family system that all the family live together. Maybe it is quite conservative thinking. Nowadays, however, it is rising to independent before they get married in Korea. And young people accepted the West culture and realized that they do not lean on their parent too much. And in my opinion, most parents encourage financial and emotional independence in their children. Some does not maybe. But it is needed to encourage.
