My father gave me the ‘i-pod classic’ to me as a birthday present. It’s just different from what I’ve been having. I used to listen only limited numbers of musics. Now I can watch movies, news and dramas. It’s cool to spend my time in subway wich was boaring before but not anymore. Plus I think it helps my English as well somehow.
I’m so into ’Heroes’ nowadays and I can’t stop watching it. However, here is a problem that I want to talk about. While I’m watching ’Heroes’ in bus or subway, I keep missing station where I should get off. Sometimes I find myself not controlling about what I’m supossed to focus on. Because of this reason, a friend of mine gave her i-pod to her brother. She did want to quit watching movies so that she can’t spend lots of time for it.
New technlolgies make people please. But there some other phases which affect our lives not in good ways. Do you have any experiences like me?
I think it’s a little bit different but I was addicted to NATE ON. As soon as I got home I used to turn my laptop on and logged in. I couln’t to anything but NATE ON so I decided to stop doing it. I deleted the program. It’s true that NATE ON was helpful to me cause it enabled me to send files to my friends and chat but it was just a moment. What I mean is I totally agreed with you.
I think it would be a good idea to have i-pod device and other mp3 / video players communicate with the subways system. because when you focus your music or tv show the thing will alert you that your near your destination. i think this could be a simple solution to missing stations. But I love using device such as mp3 stuff in subway so I don’t become bored. ^^
It could be little different, but I have one. I always listen to the radio and it takes double to finish my assingments, because I concentrate on DJs saying instead of my assingments. These days I’m trying to work it out, so I can finish my works as soon as possible.
In my case, it’s internet. I always make up my mind to use internet for an hour as I start it but I always spend more time than I’ve decided. I easily give up my time to read books because of internet. I think it’s waste of time to look at entertainment news and dramas but it’s true tha it’s hard to shut off the computer and go back to my roon to read books. Oh my god, I hate myself.
I have a similar experience about that topic
I believe electronic items like mp3 Player, laptop, and cell-phone have given both benefits and disadvantages. I am also given laptop as a birthday present from my parent. At first, I was very happy and enjoy suing the internet and typing through my new laptop, so I always take it when I studied English, killed time and wrote assignments. But here was a problem. I waste my time too much searching the web site like Cyworld, Naver News and so on since the computer always is in adjacent with me. It seemed that I became an Internet addict. After all, I sold my lap top, so now I’m using the desktop computer in school. It is little bit uncomfortable but better not to waste time. And when I was also listened from my friend worrying about same problem, I was known newest electronic items are not always good.
Prevalent using of cell phone also makes us be restrained. Cell-phone makes it possible to connect with your friends and family, further wireless internet wherever and whenever. It means you’re linked with everyone all the time. They will feel inconvinient when it’s hard to get you directly without any cases of excuses. There’s no waiting. It became virtue to reply instantly, or you’re easy to be suspected, especially from your sweetheart.
