Today I saw news about wild geese fathers. Do you know what that means? We refer men who meet their children only once a year because their children are sent abroad to learn English as wild geese fathers. I don’t think for English, saying goodbye to Dad and live far from Dad for many years is good.
Even though English is one of factor that pull down competitiveness Korea has, children need love of parents than learning English. Wild geese fathers may feel lonely too much while living alone. I want to mention about Goose mom too. It means moms who go abroad with their children so they can learn English leaving their husbands behind in Korea. They also feel lonely. According to a martial I found, they are frustrated that they cannot function sufficiently as mothers because of the language problem. So they cannot communicate with their children well. Nowadays the number of children who go abroad is increasing. But I wonder how many children of them adjust new environment well, and get successful result.
I agree with you! I believe that the family love is more important than learning English because happiness is come from the relationship. Children need to get loved from their parents
I also agree with you. I thought being together is more important than studying. In my opinion, if children can live with their parents, it would be the best instructional method and could help children study hard. In addition, the first thing in studying is learning loving each other.
