It’s hard to say who the most important person is in korea.
Because different kinds of people would have had good influences on different parts in our country. But, when asked to choose one, I would go for the president, Park Jung Hee. The president could have more effects on our country than any other person. The president, Park Jung Hee ruled korea using military force in the 1960′s. Koreans have different points of views on him and his work. Some say, he was a dictator, and others say, he was a strategist with tremendious charisma like Jo Jo in Sam Guk Ji. But, President Park may be the best president in respect of economic growth in korea. After the korean war, thousands of korean people were suffering from hunger and poverty for a long period of time. To revibe the economy, he built Gyung Bu expressway, investing astronomical money in construction. Thanks to the express highway, the economy got better and better, and private enterprises so called major companies in korean like Hyun Dai or Dae woo could develop very rapidly. The series of events could be based on the developing industries in korea.
Now, we all couldn’t dream of enjoying the wealth in korea without him and, he is one of the most important people in korea’s modern history, inspite of strong criticism on him.
Really? I actually respect Park Jung Hee.When our country was very poor in l970′s, he promoted an economic comeback and brought our country to great prosperity. Although he took the dictatorship, but he relieved the poor in our people. If he was shot by Kim Jae Kyu, we become better situation that now in politics and economy.
