I’ve changed my pattern of using computer after the Media English class. Not quite a lot, but slightly changed in my mind. For example, I feel guilty to download movie (guilty but may last…), or mp3 files. I’ve observed my way of using computer and tryed to find some differences.

I just search and visit someone’s blog when I want to listen to music. Just play it and close the window. This is nothing to me but tells I’m not going to use some kinds of p2p programs that makes me enable to download mp3 files.

I usually download free ware program to use. I really wanted to learn and study the Premire but I gave up and start my works by using Magic one or Windows movie maker which are free to everyone.

And I changed V3 (Vaccine) program to Alyak (Made by East Soft – freeware) that’s more light and faster than before.

I thought that, someone should make programs that can be shared with other people. It’s totally different with the good quality commercial program. So in that part, I guess they (some programer) need kinds of support from government or other company, so that they can alive and make programs consistently. Advertising is not enough to leave them free!

There are a lot of hobbies that you can have! Then, what is yours? Is that fits on you well?

I guess there are many factors that makes you decide to get it.

But in this time, I’m talking about the money this time which is one factor closely related with, and that should be condered well. My hobby is taking pictures. The sensitive part is doubtlessly the price of camera and lens. I started with medium compact camera called S5IS. (Canon) After finishing part time job, I used up all of my money for the camera. It wasn’t the professional camera until purchasing D200, which is the most expensive equip that I have now. D40x had passed by and so many lenses. The sum of these value is approximately two million won. If someone ask me to start taking pictures with these equipments from the beginning, I may think he’s crazy.

And also, I like playing piano (I’m not a good player though.) Because I’m not a professional, and it have been 13 years since I finished 2 years of my piano lesson.

 But there exists the word that understand all of these things; “Amateurs” who love that they’re doing.

As a ROTC and student of majoring international study, I have plenties of opportunites to hear and analyze the problem of North Korea. Though the NK is our same race, we regard them as our only enemy in this era, and pay careful attention to them.

We predict that they already finished the nuke missile testing and they have fifty-tons kilograms of explosive materials now. (such as plutonium or HEU) The HEU(Highly Enriched Uranium) is no more available for them to use, because the U.S. accepting their report of the quantaty of HEU, and promised to support them economically such as electricity and heavy oils.

The exit from the pooverty is making harmony with the world and abandon their WMD.

Some of people are easily to be a perfectionist. When I was a child, I could play some musical instruments like violin, piano and guitar. I like english words and calculating numbers. (Not quite now though)

I wanted to be the top class when in my elementary ages. After the hardship, I had to go for the martial art class “Taekwondo.” And when I was middle school student I learned “Hapkido” also kind of a martial art. When I was learning the skills, I tried hard to better than others. I had to kick higher targets than I practiced. In playing games, my efforts are all that I should raise my character and lead others. Especially shooting game like a “Sudden Attack,” I can’t stand bening killed by others. In singing, playing, studying and making, I have had to do everything perfect and better than others.

The strong concepts have been controlled me until I realized that no one can be the perfectionist. After entering the university, I realized that there are lots of students good at those. Then I decided to think only one thing that I could do the best. Perfectionist makes me and others very tired. The “wish” to myself always keeps me feel aweful.

If you are a perfectionist (you think,) you’d better change your mind.

I like music, especially classical music most. This isn’t related with elegant or something!

From the Vivaldi’s Four seasons to Yiruma’s piano music, I like some instrumental music. It really makes me calm and relieved when I feel awkward and frigntened. I have hundreds of CD of classic.

My favorite musician is Rachmaninoff who is often used a theme in the films like Shine, For Horowitz and Nodame Cantavile(Japanese TV program.) And I like Chopin and Beethoven also. I have their music album and listen them whenever having meal or doing some homework.

And I like the sound of Basoon in the orchestra. Its calm and holy sound takes me another world. If I have any chance I really want to play that instrument.

I got the news that the Auction (http://www.auction.co.kr) was hacked. It is the largest auction company in Korea (originated from EBAY from US) and thousands of personal information including name, identification number, address and email were hacked, and also  bank account for me that is the most serious part. I entered my ID and password on the confirming page, then I knew that my imformation was totally hacked, too.

How come is it possible of personal information outflow? I’ll definitely try to find a way for recovering my damage. On the evening, I could access to the Naver Cafe named ”Cafe for the victims of hacking.” And we are preparing to sue the Auction for the lack of the personal imformation management. They hired a famous lawyer of ability for this huge proceeding. I payed 10,000won for the fee and sent a letter of attorney. There remains nothing but waiting.

Some time ago, there were some cases like these, the LG site, KB, and Lineage game site. They give back the users 200,000 won for each person. I wish it goes well so that I can get some extra money on behalf of recovering my personal informaion.

These days we learn the value of Korean and American in the class of ‘Inter-communication.’ Yes, I raelly think they are direct and have individually composed concept. Whereas, Koreans are try to be kind to others, and have the vertue of humble. We’ve learned that we should always admire older people and adults. These are all from the Confucianism.

But Koreans usually feel awkward to the strangers. I think the Americans have far more wonderful skills of dealind with the stranger. They usually use smile to the stranger. They can say ‘Hi’ to the stranger. They have the courage of start conversation without hesitation than Korean, I guess.

These different cultures should ge Inter-culturally and mutually changed.

To the Koreans, rice is very important crop. That’s why Koreans on the negative point of view about the FTA.

Koreans have been eaten steamed-rice for a long time. So the rice is called staple food in Korea. Once, I have the chance to chat with a student from Uzbekistan and talked about the rice and the Uruguay Round. During the long time, he can’t understand why Koreans don’t want to open the rice market. He said that Koreans can eat other food like hamburger or bread instead of the rice.

But this can be totally different interpretation as a Korean. We eat rice at least once a day. Adults usually say that they feel comfortable and full when they have the meal with the rice. Foreigner can’t easily understand this culture, I know.

The rice and kimchi cannot be apart from us.

Actually I have only some months, since I have to be an officer in army. I have to leave the normal life from next March. That is, 1 month on this summer and whole winter vacation is the only time I have right before the duty.

I’ve been United States and Canada. There are my cousins in New Jersey which is much closer from the New York City. And I took the package trip there passing through Maryland, Washington D.C., Naiagara falls, Ottawa, Ontario……. It was fantastic and favulous memory that I have. I think, in that time, no motivation was works on me. I just hung out with my sisters and cousins planlessly. I totally regret that.

If I have any chance to travel, I would never lose it again. I can feel every second!!

Few days ago, I got a mail named “Your identification number has been used!” from the security site www.siren**.co.kr. After visiting the page, I knew that they send me a e-mail to let me know my personal information was used somewhere on the internet. With half curiosity, I registered the site and approved for the monthly pay for that (900 Won/month). Then I can confirm every web page that I’ve ever registered so far. I can visit suspicious site and decide to continue or quit. It wasn’t hundred percent perfect though. 

It was a big issue that an internet shopping mall leaked out the information of their customers. Personal information is easy to access these days. We often write down about ourselves anywhere we want to see and get. We should, however, heed concerning the individual security. The EULA should be read before registering and you have to judge the safety. Besides, your information could be the main source of spam.

Beware, we can be the easiest target.
