How to cook the Best Dakdoritang

You need a chicken, two potatoes, a half of carrot, five hot green peppers, an onion, a half of green onion, some garlic, five cups water and chili sauce.

(Making chili sauce: Put ten spoons of chili powder, two spoons of chopped garlic, two spoons of chopped green onion, seven spoons of soy sauce, two spoons of honey, three spoons of soju, three spoons of sugar, one spoon of sesame oil and seasonings to taste in a bowl. Then mix them together until well combined.)

First, cut a chicken into pieces and soak them in cold water for about thirty minutes. Then cut potatoes, carrots, a onion and a half of green onion into pieces. Next, pour five cups water in a pot, add chicken pieces and the vegetable pieces except onion and green onion pieces, and bring to boil for thirty minutes, then skim off any froth and fat that floats to the surface during boiling. After thirty minutes boiling, pour three cups water away from the pot which the chicken and vegetable pieces were cooked(You don’t need all of the water), and add onion pieces, green pieces and the chili sauce,  stir all of them together until well mixed, and then simmer them until the pieces of onion are cooked. Finally, place them on a plate and serve with rice. Yummy!!!
