Elementary Composition – Night

There is a Chinese proverb, “Let your child travel if you love him.” It means traveling can be a good lesson to a person. Traveling to new places could be dangerous and difficult, but it can be a great opportunity to learn that you cannot do in classroom. Of course, you can visit a lot of beatiful and historic tourist attractions, but it can give you more than that. If you are completely used to get everything from your parents, it is not easy to do all by yourself. In this respect, traveling teaches you how to lead a real life. During traveling, if a certain problem happens, you have to get the best solution by yourself or with your party. There might not be an advisor, or might be an obstructor. Plus, you need to plan on spending money because your budget is limited. Sometimes you would not be able to eat what you want, and you should put up with some inconveniences. While you go through the hardship, you would reach the limitation of controlling yourself several times. Through these process, you become a real adult, and that’s why traveling is worth it.

Almost all of Korean university students are eager to get a high score on TOEIC test. Regardless of what they study in universities or what they do at workplaces, it is the essential to get a job. Even though many of them are not using English ever after they get jobs, a lot of companies want people who have high TOEIC scores. The extreme case is that some companies select people in the order of a TOEIC score only. It is obviously time and money wasting for the job seekers because they all have to study for the TOEIC test. Besides, it is easy for the company to lose a person with specialiized skills because of the score. It has become worse since the whole world got more globalized and the total economy of Korea waned. What is worse, it is still going on, and it will get worse and worse until there are enough jobs for everyone.

Last weekend, I saw the TV program about Infant Education. The story of the program is that everyone must look after children from all of the things. That tell us “Not only parents but also society is responsible.” There were some impressional scenes. Parents permit personal liberty of children but they are strict with a rule. And teachers made efforts to develop a child’s originality. Especially, there are teaching materials that it utilize the five sences. It was interesting. Society supports facilities of education and place of children, too. Children’s library, museum ,and so on. It was nice. But they told that the most important thing is love. Without love, child don’t grow up. This program was very nice and had a valuable information.

A few days ago, I read a news article that says about some female students who wear a mini-skirt when they come to library to study and it has become an issue on internet. Actually, it was ranked top so many people talked their opinion very compatitively.

 As you know, most of every korean are conservative a little so there are many opinions against the fact that female students are okay to come to the library when they wear extrmely tight and short skirt. I agree with one particular reason.

 Rather, I would like to ast the female students why they wear too short skirt even when they study during on exam. I don’t know their purpose. I think their attitude is not enough to study. They wear a skirt even weather is damn cold! Wearing a mini skirt is uncomfortable to study for a long time so they couldn’t concerntrate on theit study.

 I think the most important reason is that it causes a problem to men. I don’t think men can deny to see that female students’s skirt and it could disturb men’s study. I-as a woman- also could see the skirt, and you know, how visual guys are! It’s obvious. Exposure of skin could stimulate men’s curious. Men are probably 20s age so how could they concerntrate on their study even when hotties walking around the library! It is impossible if they are not monks or Jesus.

 Wearing a mini skirt is pretty and cute but I want to female students not to wear a short skirt when they come to library to study. It is not a rule,but it is a manner.

 Since I entered a university, I have met various friends. I would like to introduce one of my best friends. His name was “Young Hoon”. I thought that he was considerate but sometimes, because of his bad customs, he was regarded as grouchy. For instances, we went to the bar to drink alcohol nearby university, in that Young hoon became 22 years old. we said together that “you are older than me” and “you look like a wrinkled grand father.” and then he said “Ok, I am older than you but I have a younger mind than you have.” I remembered that we were very happy except next for two hour having a drinking alcohol. One hour later, We got drunk as if we became intoxicated man. When I saw Young hoon, his face became red. And then he said that “you are so handsome. you exactly can introduce pretty girl for me.”, “as you can see”, “I am ugly but you are handsome and friendly.” “Is it true?” “I believe you know a pretty girl. “If I were you, I want to listen to your clear voice that ‘there is a no doubt to meet a new girl’. Ok?” I had been thinking that he was polite but he has a grouchy character which people do not like. By the time he drank alcohol, He became a grouchy man or change to an aggressive monster. In the bar there were many pretty girl but sometimes all thing what I could do is confronted by other heartbreaking. I found a pretty girl or I also could see that there were ugly girl in terms of their behavior such as vomit and abuse. I had to do anything because it was a great chance to me and Young hoon in crowded places. At that time, when I told a girl to get her phone number, ‘Oh my goodness’. I did not believe my eyes. Preferably, I had to shut my eyes. She was so old! but her back silhouette was refered to dynamic young girl. I tried to turn around her sit to see a her face. I gave up this thing I did not have to try to for him because he was grouchy and thought about himself ugly. I was considerate with my friend’s request and I regarded me as a more patient man than others. I went back my seat and I drank alcohol. When I started a drink again. Young hoon already get drunk perfectly. If he did not drink alcohol, he was regarded as smooth and gentle man. I knew that he would not want to drink a large amount of alcohol or he wanted to enjoy her birthday without alcohol. As he drank a large amount of alcohol, we refered him to bad guy. but he was not bad but he is a freckled boy which could not control his drinking capacity. Nowadays, I have been remembering our funny events. Since he study abroad, I have not met him. I would like to meet him. Maybe, we greet each other friendly, If he do not make me grouchy.  

Human relationship is one of the most stressful things in social life. Usually, the problem is caused by short of communication or misunderstanding. How can we do treat this problem? The answer is frank conversation. Frankness is difficult because everyone has own secret that nerver want to speak out in public. For harmonious relations, you don’t have to tell about all of your secrecy, but you have to try to make true conversation and never deceive both yourself and the other person who listen to your speaking.  If you don’t agree companion’s opinion or don’t understand it, you speak whatever you want to know. Don’t be reticent. It’s only make other person think you as a narrow minded person. Therefore, spill the beans for open communication.

Korean movie are very developed until now. The movie which is over the 10millionaudience are Silmido, Brother of war and King and the clown. King and the clown is type of historical drama. That movie now showing and continue to run. Other movies made about the Korean war.

Today, the cinema world has a problem with quota system of screen. Government want to abolish the quota system.They said that Korean movies are very successful in numbers for obove the quota. However cinema world oppsed by insistence of governmence.

Most in korea study English and try to master it. I think that mastering English can be a great job because it is an essential language. It is also helpful to understand the people custom from other countries. We have to know English to get new information from around the world. English seems to be required everywhere in modern society. So Korean society demand that we should be proficient in English.

I have been studying English for many years, but English is really hard for me. Above all, I had absolutely been studying English in order to pass the Exam for example TOEIC, transfer University, The public Office exam and so on. In my case, I  have to study English for passing the exam even though I know English conversation is more important. so, I feel frustrated when I used in real English. I wish I could speak English fluently after passing the my exam.

It is often said that “most of every people who have icy face are likely acting as their face,probly.” I don’t think it is right. It is not enough to say like that because it has no prove. As you know, there are some kind of reasons to make one’s attitude.

 Someone’s way of acting is made by whose circumstance around their lives or personality. Maybe childhood might affect on that. Actually,as far as I know, people who have icy face are usually very kind than kind-face people so that  kinds of  people seem very warm. I am not sure whether or not icy-face people are kind than warm-face people. But I strongly believe that it is not proper to judge someone by whose apperance. I know that people especially grown-ups and males tend to judge someone by that,but it is not fair! I have been judged by people many times. I’ve heard that my face seems like very icy when I meet someone at first. I don’t agree that but I have to. However, as time goes by, people have become aware of fact that I am not cold than their thougt. Nevertheless I thank them because that experience make me not to have preconception. I felt those are not good behavior and might hurt someone’s feelig who is sensitive.

 I have read a book,called ‘The little prince’. It is a masterpiece, isn’t it? I read very impressive sentence.” The thing that is important is the thing that is not seen.” I read that sometimes even I did many times and we should take this lessons in our mind. So, do not judge someone whose appearnce!
