In December 2007, Hye-jin(victim)was disappeared in Anyang. The Anyang police had extensive investigation to find her, but they failed and the case has become wrapped in mystery. After three months, on March 14, 2008, Anyang policer found the Hye-jin’s corpse near the hillock. All koreans shocked by this case and they insisted that murderer should be executed.
The murderer was arrested in police and investigated, but the police didn’t open to the public muderer’s face. Some citizen’s complained about this. One citizen said ” The murderer’s face must be open to the public. We don’t need to protect murderer’s human right. Once murderer’s face is opened, many people know about him and they will protect dangerous situation previously. It will be useful for many people.
But, the other people disagree. “It is true that he is a brutal criminal, but he is a human and all human right should be protected whether he/she is good or bad person.”
What do you think about this? We should respect human right despite murderer? or we don’t have to?

After I saw The Truman Show, I want to say I couldn’t help seeing the film for the second time, the third time and again and again.
The story was about Truman who was the main actor of the soap opera but he didn’t know it until he was nearly 30 years old. The creator of the television show used a great number of ways to prevent Truman from leaving Seahaven. I saw Truman experienced his father’s death and the reunion with his father after twenty years later. Truman discovered that all the people around him pretended to do their work and pretended to make a life. He felt like he was controlled by someone. Finally, he overcame the fear of water and discovered the truth by himself.
The story gave us too many things to think over. I burst into tears at last. I wonder if the real world is fake or the fake world is real. In other words, just like what the creator of the TV show said at last when he wanted to ask Truman not to leave Seahaven to the outside world, “There is no more truth out there than in the world I created for you. The same lies, the same deceit.” His voice came from the fake sky of the studios which makes me think of the God. Some time when I was a child, I once looked at the sky and thought that if our life is controlled by somebody, if somebody is up there looking at us and if all that we met and experienced is designed. It was the time that I began to realize that there were lies in this world. So Truman’s life was really a tragedy in my eyes. When he finally asked, “Was anything real?” and the creator said, “You were real. That’s what made you so good to watch…” A real man in a fake world pursued the real world with his last words, “In case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!” His last smile made me believe that though the world is full of lies and deceit, I am real.
As we grow up, all of us may find that we are deceived by someone and we may begin to find so many people are not real. They will never let other people know their real thought. They pretend to be kind and generous; on the contrary, they are cold-hearted and selfish. So we wonder how we can live in such a world that nothing is real. And now I accept the reality that the fake world is the real one. There must be lies in it but I am real and my heart is genuine. I prefer to believe that there must be the same people who are real to me, to their friends and to the whole world.
The Truman Show told me that everybody is an actor or an actress in the life stage. Sometimes we may find in the stage of life, we are tired of dealing with so many fake people and fake things. But what we should remember is we are real man. If a fake world is full of real man, it will be a real world.

I have read an article about characteristics of men and women a week ago. It had an experiment which shows how the men and women different upon equally given mission. It is said most of men answered the misson was quite easy and handy. On the contrary, it is said women felt more difficulties and lack of perfection on the mission.
According to the article, men are more likely to be pretended as if they can handle everything even though they can’t. Therefore, they look more confident than women. It says women , on the other hand, are likely to be modesty than men. women hide their ability since they want more time to prepare. While I was reading this, I picked up a word called “Imposter syndrome”.
In the wikipedia, the word “Imposter syndrome is difined as below.
Individuals experiencing this syndrome seem unable to internalize their accomplishments. Regardless of what level of success they may have achieved in their chosen field of work or study, they remain convinced internally that they do not deserve the success they have achieved and are really frauds. Proofs of success are dismissed as luck, timing, or otherwise having deceived others into thinking they were more intelligent and competent than they believe themselves to be. This syndrome is thought to be particularly common among women who are successful in their given careers and is typically associated with academics.
A female friend of mine is really enthusiastic and passionate with her life. She never knows giving up and deals with everything passionately. She has so-called ability, but she has never told me she is happy. She tells me “I am lack of something and I can’t figure out what they are exactly. I always have been wondering why she can’t be. She is supposed to be pleased I think. However, she still keeps saying that “I need more challenge”.
Imposter syndrome. Is this syndrome caused by indivisual of women, the society made us to be strong with men’s competence otherwise?

People who get addicted to drugs claim their rights of individual freedom against the government. In case they achieve their right of freedom, somehow it still seems not 100% ‘free’. Excluding any other interferences, drug addicts face difficulties in enjoying their rights. In other words, they are free to start taking drugs, but rarely have the right to quit. Self-discipline is required in every parts of our life. It is not under the law, but the way to keep our freedom.
