Elementary Composition – Night

  J’s friend has a habit of wasting too much money in her free time. For example, whenever possible, she calls her friends and never hang up first. Therefore, her telephone bills are similar in J’s telephone bills for 5 months. Moreover, she goes out with her boyfriend very often and the cost for dates is very heavy. Above all things, the worst way that her habit of wasting money is to go shopping. For instance, whenever she has time, she sits in front of computer, and does on-line shopping, and buys something on impulse. Then she regrets soon. If she doesn’t have those free time to waste so much money, she will not lie to her mother for money.   

Women become beautiful when they fall in love. If someone looks more beautiful than usual, people say, “You look gorgeous. Are you in love?” They usually say it half in joke, but it does have a scientific reasons. First of all, when a woman falls in love, dopamine causes chemical action in the cerebrum. It makes her feel happy, and she laughs. Second, when she laughs, endorphin is made in the body. It helps lower the level of stress. Because the body feels less stress, she becomes carefree. Then she can have a high metabolism because toxin from stress has been reduced. Plus, a high metabolism makes her skin smooth, soft, and fair. Finally, a woman makes every effort to look beautiful to her boyfriend. She cares a lot about her fashion, makeup, and even manner. All those changes of inside and outside of her cannot help making her beautiful.

 Today I received SMS from my old friend. Because I had put my cell phone at home, after my part-time job I could see that message. She is my middle school friend. After middle school graduation, we have never seen each other. But we have been getting in touch with each other occasionally. Anyway that message’s content was that she bought a new cell phone, and she wants to get in touch with me frequently. I was glad to see that messge, so I sent a reply messge like this. “Long time no see. How are you?” On doing, I received reply message immediately. It seems that friend is always glad being. Please, send a message your old friend.

A week ago, I got a homework from practical English class. The homework is finding five quotes. And then above the sentence remains in my heart. Actully I can’t explain the quote exactly. I just feel the meaning, and I thought finally, human being is alone. Even though human has family, friend, and lover.

Until now, too many people think an ant is a good insect. Even we express the ant as a symbol of dilligence in “Ant and Grasshopper”. But the ant might be troublemaker in our house or some building. There are some reasons. First of all, the ant can live house or building as well as soil. It’s start of problem. Then they spread so quickly. Once the ant comes into building, we can find the insect anywhere inside. How do they built their home? Here is the answer, and it is the second problem. Thet is they make hole on the wall for their way or home. They can pierce wood, concrete, even plastic. Lastly, worst point is that they can bite us. Especially, if a red ant bite us, it will be pretty painful. We’ve believed the ant is a good insect, but we’ve caught in a trap.

Once upon a time, there was a greedy woman. She always wanted to jewelry for showing off. Then her favorite jewelry was diamond. One day, she found one fact that people commonly wear diamond from Africa. Because Africa is a lot of diamond. So she decided to go to Africa. She went around for finding diamond. After a while, she found a prohibition area. But she thought there will be too much diamond. At that time, she heard animal’s roar in her back side. she turned around. Then she found something. It was a lion, because she came into lion’s zone. She was scared. So she ran away. After several days, she got Malaria. During the time, Malaria spread easily, because there were lots of mosquito in Africa. Because she got ill instead diamond, so she was very angry. For a while, she kicked near steel cage. Unluckily, there was a tiger in the cage. So the tiger tried to attack the people including her. Lastly she didn’t get anything. She just got scary and dirty experience. She started to cry very sadly.

Let me introduce my father as a stingy person. My father is a very stingy guy. Here are several reasons. First, my father never go to movie theater. Because he always wait the movie until it comes out on TV. He thinks to go to movie theater wastes money. He doesn’t feel worth of movie theater. Second, he think eating out also wastes money. So my family almost doesn’t go out for dinner. If I or brother really want, we go only with mother. It’s very sad story. Finally, it will be funny fact. My father eats perfecttly watermelon except thin outer peel. I don’t know the reason exactly. I guess he might stint the fruit even though common people don’t eat that part. Then, actually, when I was a child, he taught me to eat watermelon like the way. As you know, my father is pretty stingy person. So, sometimes, I feel shy or unwilling about the truths. But I can’t hate originally, cause I’m his daughter.

Nowadays,mosquitoes become a huge problem.There are several reasons why I hate them. First, they make disease and spread it to people. When I was young, I always got a shot to prevent disease from Japan mosquito,and that disease causes some victims who sometimes appeared on TV at that time. Second, they always make noise. I hate that buzz especially when I sleep because I am afraid that they might invade my ear hole.I don’t want to be a deaf. Lastly, they get rid of my blood. When I was bitten by mosquitoes, that spot has always itchy,so it leaves a scar. I want that useless creatures to be destroyed!

There are local elections on coming Wednesday. But I don’t know well about the candidates except mayoral candidates.Fortunately I saw symposium among mayoral cadidates on TV several times.But I even can’t tell who’s a gubernatorial candidate.I am wondering  if I will make a good decision. First,there are just too many candidates. It may be 6 to 7. Second, I only know their name, face and simple career. I’m not sure it’s enough to make a decision.Finally,the candidates’ policy promises are indistinguishable. But I will try to cast a ballot.

I finally bought my electronic dictionary. At the beginning of this semester, I had  not my electronic dictionary because mine was not working. In case of me, I need to it because I learned all subjects which is related with English class. Especially, when I tested exam , when I prepared for my assignments in library, I desperately  need it for my study. At now, my new electronic dictionary is better than any other electronic dictionary in Korea. It includes various functions (MP3, radio, and many paper dictionaries). Because I am going to get a scholarship about “TOEIC score higher” in catholic university ^^v, I can fill enough money my empty account. I am happy. I really want to keep new one without out of order for a long time. 

 I have worked part-time job for ten months in family restaurant. My younger sister takes part-time job in Pizzahut, and my brother does in Mcdonald’s. We have worked to obtain some pocket money. Of course, I have part-time job at the same time, to study is not easy. Therefore, I can’t sometimes do homework, because of fatigue. On the other hand, taking part-time job has some merit. First, we can get various coupons from each store. For example, my sister acquires 50% discount coupon every months. Next, we can manage own budget. Actually, I have an installment deposit, and I manage my living expenses. Finally, we can experience social life earlier. To tell the truth, whenever I was scold my boss, I would like to cry, but I bore patiently. However, I made many friends and good people. For these reasons, I like my part-time job. Why don’t you have a that?

 I hate a rat (or mouse) for several reasons. The first reason is appearance. Rat’s gray color looks dirty, and its tail is disgusting. So I dislike just to see them. The second reason is speed. Rats are very fast, so we can’t catch them easily. Of course, recently, a game is called ”Let’s mouse.” is much in vogue with the young. But actually they are too fast to catch them. The final reason is uncleanness. Because they live in dirty places like wastebasket and gutter, they can cause many diseases. Even they can bite people. So it’s hard to like them. 

Do you know Triangle step dance? You maybe know this dance. This dance is started by popular actor Kim, Su-Ro. People line up in shape of triangle with a leader at the point. And all the people in the triangle follow every move the leader makes.People saw that funny dance, and It spreads widely for cheering for our win in 2006Worldcup. It really cheers up people and makes laugh, isn’t it? We can enjoy 2006Worldcup with this exciting dance.

I like watching movies. The movie which makes me impressed recently is ‘The King’s Men’. The movie stands a ‘clown’ who is not well-known to us as a new character and shows us very unique imagination even if the backgroung of the movie is at the time of Chosun, when the King Yeonsan ruled the country. The clown jests with the King who has an absolute power, and his performance delivers the catharsis to the cinema audiences. And the cinema audiences form satisfaction and chemistry by reflecting their ideal human and life style when they watch the clowns who are the core of satire and humor. The freedom of the clowns that the King also envys them even though he can have everything in the country is an utopia of us as well as the King. I remember ‘the King’s Men’ for a long time since it give us special fun of movie which shows us the free life style of past days every moderners want to live. 

She is 168 centimeter  tall. She is slim. Her  face is oval-shaped and light-skinned. She has a shapely nose,a broad forehead, and straight teeth. She has a slightly big mouth so she looks like Julie Fiona Roberts when she smiles.She has double eyelids, and her eyes are bright. She has straight black hair and wears her hair down. And She doesn’t  wear glasses.

Just recently it was cold enough to wear long-sleeved clothes even in the afternoon, but the weather has been a lot warmer these days. Although it is still a little cold at night, since it is like summer during daytime, many people wear short-sleeved clothes. The sunlight today was very hot. Without sunblock, I could have been tanned very dark.No matter, the street seems lively.Trees in summer are greener than in spring.Therefore, the trees at school are greener than any other times.In addition, students’ outfits seem to be light and refreshing.The sound of birds singing that we can hear time to time tells us that the summer is very near.Although I can’t open my eyes well with the bright sunlight, I like this lively summer. I guess I need to apply more of sunblock.

Bullfrogs have become a problem in our ecosystem for serveral reasones. First, they eat everything. They eat not only insect but also spawn,fish,and even snake. Second, bullfrogs are very fertile. So essential animals to maintain ecological pyramid has disappearded rapidly. Finally, there is no a natural enemy of the bullfrog in korea. Because they are from Chaina. Nothing can kill the bullfrog in our nature. So we must kill bullfrogs by our hands.

My hobby is computer game. Above all things I like on-line game among them.
It is delightful that talk and play a game together with many people playing on-line game. Also, as playing a game, it is interesting that associate a friend, and raise myself inside game. I’m not very good at it, but I play it because it’s fun. However, because it is no time to study if play a game, independence does not.If can play study and game at the same time, may be very good.

I like pictures becuase it has many stories and memories. They sometimes console me or give energy to smile again. My family is big, so I have many photo albums. When I see the albums, i feel strange to myself. My face and atmosphere have been changing. One day, my friend called me and told me, “You’re getting old, Congratulations!” She and I share not only many photoes but also the old time as a memory, so we had a lot of talks while watching the pictures. I thought I remembered the time vividly, but I didn’t. There were somethings that I forgot totally. I didn’t remember who he or she is, where is, and… I was really happy at that time. I had a face telling that “I’m happy.” Big smile and even my eyes were smiling. I couldn’t take my eyes off, and i took energy from it. Pictures are mirror that can watch the past days.

Most people have own dread about something. A person may feel afriad about specific animal like snake, rat, and so on. Or a person hates sharp things like nife. Occasionally, some people take a medicine or meet shrinks or psychiatrists because of fear. However, people can overcome the fear without helping outside. The key is inside of the people. In my case, I am much afraid of swimming, so I can walk in the beach. Some people around me didn’t understand and still laugh at me saying that you must learn how to swim. One day, someone told me that the truth you can’t swim makes you fearful about water. Actually, I didn’y overcome my dread yet, but I think the vage fear is nothing if I know the problem and have will to break it.

People make some features by blood type, and it becomes usual topic. Lastely, a Korean movie, my boyfriend type-B was released. It’s not sure whether it is reliable or not, but it makes new sterotype about relationship of blood and character. For example, type A is so timid and very sensitive. Also, type B has incorrigible disposition, especially, men with blood B are notorious as rude people.  The worst type is AB because men or women are too unique to go with other people. It isn’t fare, is it? Netizen make a list classifying blood type that incosist of popular person like singers, actors, or presidents. Besides, people say freely, “I don’t like blood type AB or B man.” It’s not reasonable. People have to throw the stupid division.

I want to win at lotto lottery . If I get lots of money, I want to hepl flood sufferers from typhoon damage first. And I will take trip to Europe.I want to visit Venice where the Glass art is famouse. I want to meet lots people to talk and taste Europe’s special cushines. I want to buy a little island with remaining money. I want to live in beautifully landscape and peacful island. Then I would invite my friends and the Professor. I will not live just eating and playing. I will study often,When you first win at lottery, you can think about a lot of things, but you will be worried a lot on other hand. So I just want to me .I want to value my current life more than anything else.

I like shopping in a large department store or a small multishop. That’s because I can see a variety of goods there. I like going shopping with some of my friends. First, going shopping with my friends enables me to enjoy shopping with ease. That’s because I can eat meals and see movies together. I usually buy a lot at a time, and accordingly I need a lot of money. So I usually use my credit card instead of using cash. I nearly buy cloth but often buy CD as well. Shopping make my life be vigorous.

I don’t like mobile phone. It is rings everywhere, such as subway, bus, park, class room and my room. Sometimes my friend call me while I sleep. If  I don’t receive call, she is angry to me and I’m sorry about that. I don’t like phones especially on the time I am in the bathroom. I was usually putting my phone in pants or skirts pocket.  When I satdown the pot, my phone dropped and sank in there. It happened twice. Because mobile phone was very expensive, my heart was hurt.

I am afraid of cats. Firstly, I feel horrible because it intimidates me at night. It appears in front of me at night. I was suprised to see it many times. Next, because it has big eyes, I am afraid of it. The big eyes makes me feel nervous. Then the snarlying sound lets me feel terrible. So, I used to avoid it. Lastly, I like dogs more than cats because dogs are cuter for me. Therefore, I never want to meet cats in the street.

In the next month, 2006 world cup is going to held in Germay. I have some expectations toward the world cup. Firstly, I am looking forward that a Korean National team is going to make success. In 2002 world cup, it went up to semi final. I expect that it can make the same success. Next, what I srongly expect is that one of the strong countries ” Gemany” goes up to final. So, I hope that the match between germany and korea can be realized. Then I would like to support a korean team strongly. So, the support will make a Korean team cheer up. Lastly, during the final exam, I should watch the match of the Korean team. I expect that I can face the final exam, enjoying the match. As mentioned above, there are several hopes for the World Cup.  

I have two younger brothers. One of the brothers preforms military service. So, I have not met him for a long time. He has a gorgeous, belevable, and pretty friend. Sometimes, his grilfriend says to me ” I miss your brother.” In June, he is going to come back home for a while. It is a short break. Because I miss him too much, his short visit will make me feel pleased. Maybe my mom will prepare delicilus food for him because he needs a lot of nutritions. I expect that my brother and his girlfriend can spend the short time happily.

AS coming summer, many women struggle to diet for thin body. Here’s good salad  for helping these women. Kiwi is good for women especially because the fruit has vitamin C making skin bright and shiny. Prepare three kiwis, an orange, a third of lettuce, a teaspoon of red wine, plain yogurt 110g, a teaspoon lemon juice, and a little sugar for making kiwi salad. First, peel kiwis and an orange, and then cut kiwis as small dice and orange seperates each. Second, cut the lettuce by hand, and then put them in ice water for several minutes. Third, make sauce to spread on salad. Mix wine, lemon juice, plain yogurt, and sugar together. If you concern about adding sugar, you can miss it. Finally, kiwi and orange on the dish spread the sauce, and enjoy it!

I have reliable, hardworking, and true friends. I have met them since I was a middle school student. Recently we couldn`t meet them because they are very busy with their work. Whenever we are worried about something, we talk about it openly. Its topics are about girl friend, our future, and marriage. When we are exhausted to do our work, we can be reliable advisor one another. so, I am very happy that I have such friends. I can say that I love them.

A few days ago, I went to my freind’s home and stayed 2days in there. Her home is near by Sang-am cgv,so we went to there to see a movie almost 10 at night. Unfortunately, there was no movie we want to see, but I found the movie seems interesting. I thought it was not such a popcorn movie like always hollywood movies do. you know, sang-am cgv is big so sometimes the movie that seems has no popularity but outstanding is showed.

 One day, I watched Academy Awards on TV, and I saw that movie won many prizes. I guessed it was a masterpiece because it wasn’t a blockbuster. Anyway,it is a movie called a ‘Capote’. Capote is a name of a famous writer who wrote ‘Brakfast at Tiffany’s’ and etc. This movie is saying about the relationship between good and bad by showing Capote’s feelings. He read news article that there is a murder case in peaceful farm that people usually called ‘out there’.  A family was kiled very cruelly, so he went there with his friend, Nell.

 Capote met two killers,and he payed attention one killer who was an introvert  person,so he was tempted to make a striking novel after meet him,then he tried make a good relationship with the killer,Ferry Smith. Actually, they met for the sake of each other’s ‘interests’. Capote wanted to make a masterpiece, and Smith wanted to live using Capote’s fame, but they felt that they had someting in common, especially their in childhood. Capote gradually felt pity to Smith, but also felt worldliness.

 Capote was trying to hide his book name,’In cold blood’ and Smithe was also trying to hide the truth that happened that day. As time goes by, a suit became longer, so Capote felt suffering because of Smith. If Smith died, Capote could finish the novel, but he knew that he might feel guilty conscience to wish Smith’s dead.

 One day, pressing by nervous of danger that might be dead Smith confessed the truth to Capote,and Capote got unforgettable mental shock after Smith’s confession. Originally, Smith was not want to kill that family, but he felt ashamed because they treated him as a cruel man, so he killed them by shooting. At that moment after realizes Smith’s motive to murder, Capote was very confused, becuse he become know suddenly how he faced Smith who treat Capote as a friend, and faced mean desires his inside that wanted to hide.

 Smith didn’t help the rescue of Smith, so Smith was condemned by hanging. Capote didn’t want to see Smith’s dead, but he went there because of..Smith’s true mind. Smith thought Capote as a real freind. Smith was died,and Capote could finish the book,then he earn enormous mount of money,fame. However, he didn’t..no, couldn’t write even just one book, and dead living an alcoholic. It was such a frightening end! I was chilled with fright.

 To tell the truth, I am not sure about the truth between the relationship Capote and Smith, like the novel that true and a fake was tied cleverly that was written by Capote, but it seems obvious that the thing a man get near to ‘the truth about oneself’, and it’s tormenting to know what is ‘the truth’ that every novelists’ goal.

 It’s an impossible to turn away my eyes from the screen while I see the movie. Although it has no fantastic visual factor, it’s not a fast-moving paced movie, It focused on the relationship between 2 mans and thh change of their mind, so it might boring,but I like it!Because it made me think a lot, I like it and another things like the way of showing the move, a delicate metaphor.( I have intereted about metaphor since one year ago) I also impressed about main actor’s acting abillity. He won the male actor prize, he deserves it. He’s amazing!

 I think it represents a contradiction very well. Capote wanted desire and friendship both, but he could make only one, so he regrets. It is a topic that arouse everyone’s sympathy, I don’t understand well, but I could feel it. Seeing ‘Capote’ I felt that the moment in life could be the whole life. It is an observation of paradox that creation and ruin comes at the same time. You should try that!

 you know what, the truth is ‘out there’.
