Besides the homework I mentioned in the post below (the “flat character” writing assignment) I forgot to note one piece of homework: you are expected to be ready to discuss the Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog video from last time. We will talk about plotting, voice, and so on, but especially about character development and flat and rounded characters, as well as the idea of “story problems.” So make sure you review the video and prepare to discuss!
By the way, I will be asking you to read the short story “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe for Thursday’s class, so here is your chance to get a head start!
By the way, also on Tuesday, I expect you all to be able to explain briefly what you are writing about for your midterm project. We will begin critiquing peers’ work soon, so you should be working hard on your story, screenplay, poems, or whatever else you are writing now!
