Your Homework for Next Week
Sorry to be a bit late in posting this: the cold I had attacked me once again, and I got almost nothing done on Friday/Saturday.
For the Creative Writing Class, I collected the papers you wrote for me about the book you have loved and why you loved it.
For homework for the week of March 12th, please do the two following things:
1. Watch any Hollywood movie. (I specify Hollywood as they tend to have both of the kinds of character we’re going to talk about.) Think about the “character types” you see in the movie, and whether you have seen them before in other movies. (One good possible example is John Carter of Mars, which is in cinemas now.
2. Read the Grimm Brother’s version of the Hansel & Gretel fairytale.
We’ll discuss the films you watched, and the fairytale, in class on Tuesday, and there will of course be a writing assignment.
