I promised you an article to read for next time; here it is:

As I noted in class, I expect students to read the article (and the letters from readers in the December issue, included at the end of the PDF) but I also expect you to come to class prepared to discuss it.
Part of preparation includes thinking up some interesting, thoughtful questions you think we could discuss as a group. As an added bonus, I will ask you to hand in the question or questions you prepared for the discussion at the end of class. The question must be typed.
I’ll circulate a sign-up sheet for the Student Led-Discussions next class as well. It seems easier than an electronic signup.
