What do you think of sports events used Animals?

Using animals for sports events wouldn’t be humane. There are several kinds of sports events used animals, including bullfighting, horse racing, dogsledding, rodeo and so on. Some people would use animals for their entertainment and business only. Not only do they train their animals severe, but they lock them in tiny cages or chains month after month, city after city. Instead of treating these animals in a hard way and supporting these unkind business, these animals should ne in their habitat, exploring, and raising families. Also, people should seek another entertainment.

Best City for Visit

Seoul would be one of the best city for a visit. Seoul is the political, cultural, and economical center of south korea. And there’s an endless list of things to do in and around the city, including ; shoping, hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, hunting, martial arts and climbing. With a seemingly endless calender of street fairs and festivals, as well as a selection of fine beaches within easy reach, you’re unlikely to be at a loose end.
To find out exactly where you go, begin with a trip to Seoul tower’s observation deck which, at 370 meters above sea level, it offers a panorama of the entire city. Back on the ground, there’s plenty to see and do around the base of the tower, such as the National Aquarium, Ocean Life Museum, Funny World and Namsan Botanical Gardens. If you are looking for a more cultured way to spend your time, Seoul is rich with palaces. For a glimpse into the life of royal family in the 14th century Joseon Dynasty, Kyung Bok palace is available. Although some parts of the palace are off limits, a tour is worthwhile if only to see the Biwon or Secret Gardens. It’s a place of relaxation for the kings and the royal family. Also, if you are visting in winter, Yougpyong Resort and Muju Resort would be the perfect place for skiing. Once you visit Seoul, you’ll never forget how nice Seoul is.

Marriage in Korea

Marriage is a serious matter. Perhaps, marriage and occupation may be the most important things in our life. So, I will talk about the marriage in Korea.

In Korea, people get married at the latter half of twenties. In the past, people married early, but as time goes by, matrimonial age is becoming high. It’s because of women’s social activity. It is the trend that go with Western advanced country more and more. People think that it’s natural to marry with whith dress and ceremony hall. And there is one more matrimonial problem. It’s woman’s job problem after marriage. Today, many women have their job. They think it’s as improtant as marriage and want to continue working for a company. So, To share household chores with husband is problem because it is hard to do things at once.

Like this, marriage is difficult thing that has many problems. You have to give your partner things you have. You have to be generous and concede yours. But, because marriage is to become one, you can gain happiness!

Writing Blog

In the begining of the semester I saw many writings on the board. But thesedays the number of writings is decresing. Because of mid-term exam, homework, or lazy many students are more concerning to other things. In my case lazy is big problem. I was being stressful becuase I haven’t upload my writing except homework for last two weeks. What a stupid girl! ”Why am I so worried about that even I don’t. Just do it”  I thought it was not me now. ”Where am I?” ”Where is my promise to myself on the first day of this year and of this semester.” I decided to be strict to myself. I know you are good student not like me. If someone is being loose I believe all students start writing on blog again after mid-term exam.

First Birthday in Korea

A dol-zan-chi is the first birthday party in Korea. Before a dol-zan-chi, parents prepare a lot of things. First, they choose the date with their elders who give them advices. After that, they order 4 types rice cakes. Red rice cakes hope for health, White rice cakes hope for longevity, sticy rice cakes hope for patience, and rainbow rice cakes hope to realize desires. In addtion to rice cakes, they prepare many fruits and foods except peaches because people believe the devil likes peaches. As well, they prepare a pen, a book, money, and rice for dol-zap-i which their baby chooses one thing of them, and they guess their baby’s life. A Pen or a book means the scholar, and money or rice means a rich man. Further, they prepare their baby’s dress for the party. The dress usually is a rainbow-striped dress. Before the party, they take many pictures. At the party, their relatives and friends come and give some gifts and blessings for their baby. The gift is usually a gold ring. Everybody watches dol-zap-i, eats delicious foods, talk each other, and has a great time.

A Birthday in Korea

Almost every country has its own way of celebrating a birthday and there must be a distinguishing trait, but the same thing is people are happy on their own birthdays enjoying the day with their family and friends. In korea,a birthday is one of the important days for each person, so people want to make the day special. First, they eat brown-seaweed soup on their birthday. Eating the soup on a birthday has originated from the birth of a child. After having a baby, a mother eats the soup ,which is highly nutritious, because it is good for her  circulation of blood and metabolism. People usually have the soup at meals with thier family at home. After that, young people often have a party with thier close friends, drinking and having fun. People in their age of forty or fifty invite their siblings and relatives to the party and then serve up some food. Givinging gifts and cards is also very important. Thesedays many people celebrate a birthday with a cake and they put out a candle with a great blessing.

Changed birthday party Culture

The culture and meaning of birthday party is changing over and over among school boys more than in the past.

About ten years ago, most elementary students had a birthday party that was a small and little with children’s family or friends. They would eat kim-bab(it looks like a California roll, it is included lots of vegetables, a slice of ham, or tuna, covered with a piece of laver.), dduk-bok-ki(a seasoned rice cake), a birthday cake, cookies, and candies like that in their home. Birthday presents were primarily simple school things.

But, nowadays, most school boys like to eat out with their friends or family at family restaurants. Their presents also changed. They don’t like simple school stuffs any more. They would want to get some money or expensive things like cell phones, MP3 players, or notebook computer like that. They seem to take it for granted. The price of presents or money would be considered as how much their parents love their children.

Because of such an excessive competition, the real meaning of birthday turns vague, and other poor school boys may has a real deprivation. But what presents they had wouldn’t be important. The most important for them will be really loved by their family and friends.

Marriage

When does the marriage mean for our life? When I was twenties, I didn’t think it seriously because we including me think that marriage is a natural activity for human life circle in Korea. And if we don’t do it, almost people think that person is strange and they could have some problems. Thus we usually marry to someone during twenties even though we don’t love each other. However it changes nowadays. Many people don’t marry because of lack of love, financial problems, differences of character, success, etc. And I also think it is a very reasonable idea. We don’t need to marry to someone if we don’t want to it and we don’t need to mind the social prejudice. Above all, we have to have a chance of our own life.

The First Birthday

It is  important to celebrate the first birthday not only in Korea ,but also in many countries. However, there exists the differences among countries. They have diiffrent ways to celebrate it. Especially in Korea, usually the parents who have a year old baby held a party. The party stemd from the past when people’s life span was not that long so poeple celebrate the fisrst year of birthday  if their child survive a year because at those time, there were not much good medication and system.  They invite many people like their friends, relatives and parents. Then, all of the people attening the party enjoy delicous food , have fun together and wish a good luck for the baby.  If you are invited this party, you should bring a present for a baby. Traditionally, invitee brings a gold ring, but these dyas cash is ok. In the party, there is a significant event. The event is performed by the baby. Making a variety of choices of things such as pencil, money, a bunch of thread on a table and make the baby choose what she or he wants. Each product represents a different meaning. For exeample, pencil means an intelligence ,  money means richhness amd the tread means long life. by the baby choosing someting out of those choices, her or his parents coulld guess what ahe or she will be in the future.

My birthday.

I spend my time with family in my birthday. Surely, I spend the time with the friends, too.  There is usually start my birthday celebration at night. Because, my parents have jobs.In anyway, at night, my parents bring the cake to home. after that, my family celebrate to my birthday. I blow out a candle. Next, we smile. I think of that the birthday party with my loving family is good mean to me. It is thanks.

First Birthday

In Korea on a baby’s first birthday is really special. First, parents put things like money, thread, and pencils in front of their baby. After that, parents make their baby chose one thing. If the baby picks up the money, it means he or she is going to be rich. Choosing the thread means a long life for the baby, and choosing a pencil means he or she is going to be a good student. These are kinds of myths, but people believe it until now.
